I can't believe this click-bait thread made it past 1 page, much less into its 8th page.

I was waiting but then somebody dropped from buying the one I got so I jumped in and bought it. It was not exactly what I wanted but I made it into what I wanted. IE added factory LED headlights and upgraded all the other bulbs to LED. Upgraded my fogs to Baja Designs. No complaints here.

Well today a new pro4x frontier cut into the tacoma sales. A nearby neighbor just showed up with a brandy new white one. Traded in his older ram toward it. This guy must of gotten a great deal..last i knew he had a tacoma trd sport on the brain.

There's always people overextended and a chit storm that follows. But this time could turn into the mother of all chit storms :/

According to the national debt clock, only those that have under $248,582 net are under water (going broke).

Even billionaires like Elon Musk, J. Besos and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg are feeling the pinch as they have lost billions this year alone.
“Tech billionaires have lost a collective $315 billion since last year.”

And even though I’ve actually made impressive gains this year, my assets are only as good as our country and our country only as good as our people.

    My takeaway from all this:

Be good, be the best that you can be at anything you do.

    Be safe, stay solvent

Smells like troll shit in here.

All that matters is the comparable sales numbers.

Are other midsize trucks gaining sales as Tacoma loses? Nope.

Are EV trucks even a fart in a whirlwind sales wise? Nope.

Nah toyota doesn't care. Apparently Toyota doesn't care about the Tacoma, doesn't care about Tundra or the US... The US market is irrelevant to Toyota.

Now Toyota AFRICA SALES. Now that's where the money is baby.

Total EV truck sales ever in the US are 21,041 units and about 13k YOY... not really what I'd call "tearing into Tacoma sales" and more of these trucks are being bought by people not really looking for a truck. Kind of like jeep owners that like the "cool" but will never drive over a curb.

Personally I believe it's the crap economy, people aren't buying large items. Not to say I wouldn't consider the EV or hydrogen Tacoma but that depends on the price.

Borrowing money cost more right now than it did in the last few years. New car interests' rates are thorough the roof. Your payment could literally be a couple hundred dollars higher right now then on the same truck last year. Lease rates are worse. Unless you have a hefty down payment or pay cash its hard justify a big payment on a basic Japanese truck.

Many car sales are down right now. It's not just Toyota or the Tacoma.

I haven't seen 1 person buy a new Tacoma all day today. I haven't been to a Toyota dealer today either.

Not enough interest from Toyota to bring a new Tacoma to market yet. Not enough interest for Toyota to bring a compact truck to market in 23. Not enough interest to build a truck more capable than a 1/2 ton. I'd say Toyota isn't real interested in the NA truck market.
The demand for new vehicles is probably at a twenty year low right now. That's why America's #1 selling midsize sales are down.

Lots of new allocations available on line. Where are the buyers?
Have you seen how many people on Toyota truck forums are interested in electric trucks?

lol! A TOYOTA '17 Is just now barely getting started. They're like wine, the older they get, the better they are.

That said the price is more likely to go up with all the ever larger tv screens on dash, turbos and high dollar components to meet the ever growing demand for more power, better mileage and ride.

But help maybe on the way with a cheaper model to compete with Ford maverick. I saw one today and I'm still smh.

Needs to be a BOF compact truck not a CUV. Even if Toyota does not sell enought to out sell the Maverick. Toyota could differentiate theirself in the compact truck world, by selling an actual truck.

If they want to sell a Rav4 with bed also OK, but I'd rather have a Toyota compact truck. They could call the TCT.

Don't they MSRP around 60-70 grand? Maybe that was with the mark up an SR5 was like $68k. I don't think Ill ever buy a 4th gen, they'll be marked up for the next 10 years.
