Have you looked at the advertised price for 2023 Sequoia? This is what dealers are asking for them.

Tacomas are way more popular than Sequoia.

Yeah man I'm good thanks for asking.

I was just looking at the price of those Sequoias and they are inline with domestic fullsize SUVs, and think if the next gen Tacoma is as popular as the 3rd gen. I'm not going to pay what people are willing to pay for one.

It is what is, and alot of things could change between now and then.

I'm seeing more allocations for new Tacomas listed online it will be interesting to see if Tacoma sales numbers increase for December and January.

January will probably be better than December.

    Working on it ...
I was at the dealer yesterday and they had two cars in the show room and they were both used. A RAV4 and a sienna. I was talking to my sales guy as I was getting service done on my truck and he was saying for a RAV4 it was a 2 to 3 month wait for a four runner. It was a four month wait minimum.

I don’t think even TOYOTA can swing a BOF small truck at a price to compete with a unibody truck made with cheap parts like the Maverick.
A decent and durable BOF build would cost as much as a Taco with negligible cost savings and mpg gains.

TOYOTA builds durable products because they really do care about their reputation, that’s how they roll.

looked into EV trucks, did the math on a new electric panel for the ranch, solar panels to charge a (whole house) battery and also thought, If a carry a gallon of gas in the bed with a portable generator, I could go on a long trip without worries even when the grid goes down and there’s little sunshine for a couple weeks it might work for me.

    But then this happen

“As of Oct. 26, USA TODAY has been able to confirm 11 cases in which EVs caught fire in Florida after flooding from Ian, all believed to be due to the cars' battery packs shorting out after being submerged in saltwater or physical damage to the batteries during the flooding”.

EV truck fill up charges are $100 and up and that's not even for a full recharge. Why not just buy a gas truck, stop for fuel as needed and not drag out the road trip longer than it has to be? :burp:

That is not true. For my R1T at a public fast charger from 0-100% is $42, at home rates it’s $14.

Have you noticed a decrease in battery range with colder temps like the F150 Lighting?

Yeah, that company’s (ChargePoint) chargers are both slow and expensive. I don’t stop at them unless absolutely necessary. A full 0-100% at most of their chargers would run about $55 and take up to twice as long as it should.

Some, about the same 10-15% decrease I’d see in my gas cars. It hasn’t been near as bad as I’ve seen in some of those videos about Lightnings.
