No pics yet but 2 weeks ago I sold my trusty V-Strom 650 I put 20k miles on and picked up a tri-color 17 Honda Africa twin with 2800 miles on it. Spent most of yesterday putting on adventure tech crash bars, skid plate, luggage carrier... Got some bar risers and hard cases to go on too. It's going to be a LONG winter for me. But I did put 150 miles on it last weekend in the 40 degree weather.

I looked really hard at that bike, it is probably the most thought out well equipped dual sport motorcycle in the world IMO. Long heritage of innovation and proven performance. Then when I sat one one I decided I better not get it, at my age I probably better stick with my more predictable KLR.

Those AT's are awesome machines, congrats and enjoy!

    Does my TW200 count? Lol

I’ve ridden all types and sizes of two wheels for over two decades, but the TDUBs is what I owned when I bought the Tacoma. 2021 Tacoma, 2022 TW200. I do appreciate that they match some.

No need to haul it, it’s riding one or driving the other.

Definitely pairs with the Tacoma better than it did the GX.

If I need to transport it I’ll just rent one of u-hauls motorcycle trailers as I’m not comfortable/manly enough to put it in the bed of the truck. I’ve seen guys ride their sport bikes into their truck beds- “nope - not me!”
Kids dirt bikes are no issue though.

Old enough to see into the future, when I sat on a new one I saw myself wrapping that beautiful motorcycle around a pine tree.

Yeah I'm going to be 50 at the start of the next riding season. I did have to get the factory low seat to really be comfortable on it. I rode a 19 adventure sport last year and was hooked. Even though it seriously tweaked my back just throwing a leg over it. But with the low seat it's only a touch taller than my V-Strom.

LOL it's actually pretty damn quick for basically a big dual sport. It can dance too. handles as well as the V-strom on the pavement and brakes are excellent. A far cry from the sportbikes of my youth but my back can't tolerate those any more. But if I find a good deal on a 25th anniversary VFR I might just have to buy it.

Is this turn 14 area of NYST?

Have you gotten a tune yet for the flat spot? I have a 2022 and my bmw friends say its the bees knees.

What track is this? Austin? Looking good!

Wouldn't recommend loading a naked bike into the truck, the higher handlebars make it very difficult learning from personal experience with a similar weight motorcycle. See second pic for reference.

My 2018 gsxr 600 feels like a toy compared to the over engineered German/Italian/Austrian cycles.
