not really. somewhat when cold. @hx989 may have some ideas as he was the brains in that mission.

Logs often don’t show mechanical issues (assuming one is present) unless things have gone way south.

Sometimes there’s hints/breadcrumbs we can follow to tease out what may be going on, but it’s not going to say “Danger to Manifold” for us.

This is something that too many people often believe to be true. Like when people take their car to the mechanic, I've literally heard people say, "well can't you just hook up the car to the computer and it tells you what's wrong with it?"

I facepalm hard every time I hear that.

No insult to you Jesse, of course. But to further harp on what Justin is saying, unless the issues are pretty severe, mechanical issues usually require mechanical diagnosis. This will always stand true on all vehicles now and of yesteryear.

i take no insult from this. my brain tells me if the computer isnt reading code to throw an alarm beacon it is likely a mechanical fault some place. i get that. im just trying to rule out less than likely options by communication and feedback by you fellas. as of now im leaning (no intended pun) to believe i have head issues ( again no pun but explains a lot). my other complaint is my tpms light. only since cam install it flashes for 10 seconds on starts then stays lit. cripples my take off when loss of traction is evident. where and how do i chase this bug?? tried doing a snowy burnout and safety kicks in. i can do a better burnout with my lawn mower.:anonymous:

these issues are tough with my limited knowledge, ability, and time. im working two jobs 7 days a week til february. having no heated work area makes it hard. and... my other truck is down even if it could move in this snow.

TMPS light flashing then solid usually means that a sensor has broke or run out of battery (not responding).
I wouldn’t think it should have an impact to any other system.

One of my TPMS sensor is broken and does the same thing on the dash.

I would at least check tire pressures, including spare. It simple and easy.

no spare. ha! just curious why flashing every start instead of solid on AND imparing any fun times.

thanks for that idea. im betting its a front sensor from an alignment tech. anyone have a part # or advice on this topic?

Is it your traction control kicking in? Are you getting the squiggly tire marks flashing icon when it happens?

Because the traction control cuts engine power and/or applies brakes to the tires that it thinks are losing traction.

Unlikely an alignment tech damaged a tpms sensor because those things are inside your tire. It’s probably just a sensor battery slowly going out. It’s that time if they’re original.

Shoot me a text, and we can see if we can figure out if and what is wrong with your truck. I’m back in WA currently but going back to Baja after Christmas.

    I don’t think so.
I have put in a switch that breaks the wheel speed sensor signal so I can cut all trac/vsc/abs - but then I can obviously do so.
Ordinarily, trac will limit wheel spin or kick in abs if I give it throttle around a corner.
If I push my trac button for 3 seconds to disable trac these lights appear and I can still spin tires as much as I can with 35’s and stock gears. (Ignore the seat belt and maintenance light)
