What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I purchased a "Universal" one from the local auto parts store for $12.00. Trimmed it and put Duct Tape around the cut edges. Works great and saved myself $30.00 verses one specifically for Tacoma.

 

I wish they were perfect but they aren't I just used a hammer and a vise. The edges on the bend kind of tore from bending but I filled the gaps with primer and sanded them smooth.

 

Nothing has changed, looks just like my 22 inside.

Can i register my truck at your address , lol... Massachusetts doesn't allow windshield tint, let alone the 15% on the side windows, only 30 %

 

I love it. I think it helps with glare and just helps making everything not so bright and blinding on really sunny days. And there aren’t any visibility issues at night either.

 

I received an email yesterday confirming the style of Tacoma and either 4WD OR 2WD as Caliraised made an error for the 2WD customers the shield wont fit on those so they are trying to fix the issue on the fly and get it taken care of for those customers. What boggles my mind is what person in their ( right) mind would purchase a 2WD truck to begin with, you are already spending a Butt ton of cash why they "Hell" not just buy a 4WD, seriously now... They did tell me i had a two week wait due to delivery issues but insured me they will be on their way shortly.

The truck feels like a substantial upgrade coming from a 2020 sr5.

 

She seems disappointed in me for spending money on new wheels and tires lol I don’t know if I can solicit her help with that. But do you have pics of the white letters?!
Plus, she thinks I should have gone with black over bronze and just keeps sighing, “It’s your truck.”

 

Do you think these would fit the SR5 base-ish model head unit? Would like to upgrade the knobs on mine if it'll fit.

 

It's frustrating, but they say they have "the one" and expect you to pay up. I just bought 2 months ago (a '22) and found a dealer who never charges above MSRP and then they gave me a bit of a break BUT I had absolutely no choice of trim, color, or options. They had 3 allocated: all OR trim, Lunar Rock, with floormats. The trim and color is exactly what I wanted, but I'd hoped for LED highlights and tech package. None existed.

I was feeling good until you said the sr5 part lmao. I couldn’t be happier with mine.

 

I managed to leave the dealership with a 142.00 dollar bill. Replaced the two bolts I need to get at to put in my cat back system. So there is that plus the oil change. Not bad. I’ll take it.

 

Tint is done! Next on the list is a tune then I’ll be done with all the major stuff I had planned for now.

 

Tunes ain’t major until you floor it!! Lol.
