Is your ductwork rigid sheet metal or the insulated flex type. Mine are the later...wonder if they're cleanable

Holy crap the chaos that my life has become. Been trying to write this reply while simultaneously trying to get my kids ready and out the door with my wife. Its been about 20 minutes since I started typing the post..

Would you want a drill just to keep at home? I have a used but in great condition milwaukee m12 impact driver and compact driver set I never use that was given to me.

I also have a brand new craftsman drill set never used.

I would be happy to toss either your way for free if your interested.

We had ours done two years ago. Most of our ductwork is rigid tin but we have a couple flex runs where spacing was tight. They were able to clean them all, flex runs included.

All sorts of treasure came out. Old foreign coins and other oddities. Prior homeowner served and did a-lot of time abroad.

Our house was built in '77. A friend's deceased father worked for the builder. When we redid our kitchen and pulled down the cabinets his initials and the date was written on the sheet rock behind an upper cabinet.

That’s a really cool story. You should cut that piece out, frame it, and give it to him.

Would be a cool gift but f sheetrocking. My least favorite thing to do.

That beats the pile of Wilkerson razor blades in our bathroom wall. Apparently the common practice was to discard the blades into a slot in the medicine cabinet. (Which had a slot in the back) that fed the old blades into the wall. Man the things they did in the fifties

My first house was newly built so to save a buck I had to do all the trim pieces (interior). Well it was February and no. Electricity has been hooked up yet. So we used polyurethane on all the trim pieces in the basement. Seemed like a good idea til it got dark. We were done painting but damned if I know how we got upstairs too leave!!

Original ductwork is rigid sheet metal...insulated flex type was added when air conditioner was installed in 2016. Good question about the flex type...

Don’t be alarmed if I don’t reply to anything. I can’t use my phone at work. AT&T is having major network problems.

Yours. Just a note, they have the hex quick change instead of a regular drill chuck.

Anyone in the Danbury area remember this? Anyway...my friend who sort of knew the family messaged me they found him this morning deceased just an hour and a half away from Newtown in Rock Hill NY. Pretty sad to learn he left the family, but getting closure could be better than never knowing what happened.
There was a series launch in 2016 on investigation discovery channel.
