Thanks. Is there a time frame that typically populates more information? Is there a going rate on time of delivery from build date?

Not on this case, the truck is a part of a separate region. I dont have access to their tracking system.

    Jerk move or not?

In May 2022 I went to a local dealership to fill out an allocation request (yellow form) for a LB TRD OR and was told 3-6 months to get an allocation. I didn't put down any type of deposit because the dealer didn't take deposits. I've communicated with the sales rep monthly for updates on the allocation process and after 6 months there has been no change. Thanks to the many resources on this forum and checking autotrader/cargurus daily I located the exact truck I'm looking for allocated to a dealer out of state.

Is it a jerk move to purchase the truck from the out of state dealer?

I don't think so. You should do what works best for you - most dealerships would. With continued uncertainty, and looking for a harder to find LB, I'd take the sure thing over something that may or may not happen.

You don't owe that dealer anything and who knows when they might get one. Seems odd all the dealers I know are getting trucks. Especially long beds lately

Perfectly fine; but I may be biased as I am currently doing the exact same thing. Toyota has no real method of getting you the truck you want other than the pray for an allocation method. You have to take matters into your own hands to get what you want.
