I've definitely heard phasers clacking on a few trucks. Most people have never even looked at the filters, and or know they exist. Might be worth a peek.

No doubt - the issue didn’t start presenting itself until maybe 1k miles ago and has progressively gotten worse.

Great point, although the shop I took them to is fairly reputable but I guess anything can happen. I suppose it would be a decent idea to also check valve lash before tearing it down again. Wonder if they are tight, and I adjust appropriately, if that would save it or if the damage is done already. I imagine the damage is probably done if that is indeed the case.

Very very great point on the tune - I never really suspected it to be the tune BUT I’ve never sent Justin a datalog to review and confirm which is why I mentioned that. I absolutely agree though, it being so localized certainly indicates a hardware issue of some sort.

Yup, certainly have some options to consider. Just more time and $$$ sighhhh

This is an off topic thing, but I just need to put out there that I DESPISE AN fitting junk. I went and installed a new AN fuel line from a manufacturer, and the line was pretightened, ready to install onto my rail and everything and the stupid thing is slowly weeping fuel, which explains why I continue to smell fuel through my vents.

What do you boys recommend I use to stop the leak, teflon tape?

I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure it’s normally advised not to use teflon tape with AN lines… how ever if it’s leaking already then maybe it’s worth a shot?
I would contact the manufacturer for a replacement or buy a new fitting if it was me.

Weeping or permeating? Is the line angle an issue? Maybe switch to crimped line instead of one that tightens?

It's definitely not permeating. It's active leakage and it's weeping in between the "conical seal" portion of this threaded nut and the connector that reads DSX.

Like I've said before. I despise AN crap for this reason precisely.

You will NEVER catch me going with AN fittings because of this hogshit right here. It never fails either. Oil, gas, coolant, every single time I've had a system the POS setup always leaks.

I only got this setup for visual purposes to give it a clean appearance come inspection time. I got it direct from a builder so I let them assemble it for me and call it good. Here we are. Post install and big freaking surprise, I have leaks.

Excuse my language here boys. This is the sort of stuff that royally pisses me off though.

What flow rate pump and pulley size is everyone running?
I have not had the opportunity to pin point my fueling issue yet. Just brain storming and gathering info in the mean time.

    I have a 2.7 pulley
    265lph pump.

I can't leave anything well enough alone
I've used a ton of AN fittings over the years for everything from high pressure air to fuel to oil to n2o, never had a leak at a fitting that wasn't my fault or debris in the sealing surface. I have had the stainless braided hose degrade internally and leak straight through the hose. I have had tube nuts leak around the flare of the stainless tubing, which might be what you have going on, if the flare wasn't done correctly - and never had another problem after getting a "good" flare tool that burnishes the sealing surface. But that isn't the fault of the tube nut or sleeve or male adapter. I've never had a 37 degree flare leak or fail at the flare, especially when the male and female side of the flare are both aluminum. I'll take flare fittings any day over barbs or other hose clamps, which I have had leak lots of times.
