Has anyone (active) in here converted to rear disc?

If so, did you upgrade the Master Cylinder? If so, what did you upgrade to?

SOS performance sells the adapter for the sequoia master than the tundra guys like. (Same setup as the tacos on base model tundras)

    Thank you sir :hattip:

I'm not sure, but I think if I'm going to upgrade to the 14WA 4 Runner brakes in front and 4 Runner disc brakes in back, I may need more volume from the MC. But... I've also heard more volume isn't always a good thing because it decreases pressure. I'll contact them and maybe they can help.

The 14wa have a notorious issue with soft pedals on the stock tundra setup. Don’t know anyone running that setup with 4 wheel disc. I’d imagine you’d end up with a slightly softer pedal running a sequoia master with the 4runner front brakes and a disc conversion. But not certain. I avoided that whole mess in my tundra with a TRD BBK. Almost wish I could find another for my tacoma lol

ABS module delete (The Factory Module has internal Brake Bias set)

With this setup brakes are powerful enough to stop Auto + crawlbox

Right on. I already don't have ABS (thankfully). Was already, definitely, planning on deleting the load sensing proportioning valve and probably going with the Wilwood. Maybe I'll try that out before worrying about the MC.

Ugh... from one issue to the next.
Saw a small puddle under the truck. Slow drip I think.
Looks like fresh trans fluid. Is It possible to install the rear main seal incorrectly? I can't imagine any other issues after changing the clutch. Drip on front cross member and bottom of the bell housing.
I really don't want to have to pull that damn thing again. Total pita to get back in but if it saves me the labor costs then so be it.
    Beuller?!

What color is the fluid, it's possible to put in the rear main a bit off and have it leak but if it is ATF then the trans has a leak.

The rear main seals engine oil, so if you're seeing trans fluid, then that's something else...

    Trans was freshly rebuilt.
Fluid is reddish and super fresh. Slight oily tinge. Doesn't smell like gear oil so I could be wrong. Could that be coolant instead?

Ok that's what I thought. Still learning. Yeah it's fresh something.

This is gonna sound nasty, but you can tell if it is the toyota red coolant easily. Dab a finger in it and touch it to your tongue, it has a disgusting bitterant in it (to stop animals and people from eating it) and you'll immediately know if it is a hard taste to shake that it is coolant.

Lmfao ok. I'll, get my taste on when I can get to the truck. Would it leave an oily residue vs red crusty? Or is that baked vs fresh?

That's just fresh vs evaporated haha. But ATF should be more slick and dark overall. Toyota red coolant is pretty slippery though

Heater valve dripping on the bell housing would be my first guess, second guess is the coolant bypass pipe leaking (you don't want that)

Lovely. I mean any leak is no bueno.
Not finding much write up on the bypass pipe but it looks like that might be the cause of the resi being super low.

    Easy job for the bypass?

No, the bypass pipe sucks to reseal, have to take the entire intake manifold and lower intake off to service it, I'd try to get visual farther up on the leak before tearing into anything
