Fit Cam X Dash Camera

I took it out and put it back in and reseated it twice. Their owners manual said if camera wi-fi is not found do the following.

First, take memory card out and research for wi-fi because memory card failure will cause the camera to have no wi-fi.

Press and hold the camera button for 20 seconds or use paper clip to reset to factory settings.

Did all of the above twice with no success. I sent it back because I made diligent effort to make it work for 2 hours. I don't intend to give the camera a bad review on Amazon, but I don't intend to waste more time trying to make it work. The nice thing about Amazon is you get a full refund and they pay for return shipping.

 

Got this cam and I’m having trouble finding the App, it says not available in my country (Canada) the OP is from Canada so I’m sure it works here. my settings are set for Canada on my iphone.
Any help?

 

I have it downloaded on my iPhone but I can’t find it in the App Store. Even if I search on Google for “Apple app FitCamX” the link for the app doesn’t work.

Ok so I did the online chat with them and they directed me to another app called Viidure, they say the FitCam app is being updated so maybe that’s why?

I downloaded this Viidure app and couldn’t connect to the camera but for some reason it’s been recording since I plugged it in lol?
I’m still playing around with it so if someone else is having issues with this just go to their chat and a link is provided for the camera in the meantime.

Interesting. I tried searching for the FitCamx app as well and couldn't find it through the app store

I didn't pay the full price for mine, $89 refurbished from Amazon, 4K front only. It came in just as brand new, even with a 128gb card(said no card in the description).

The video and audio quality is excellent, installation is as easy as it can be.

The only thing I don't like, it doesn't have a parking mode as my el cheapo $20 one had.

I do wonder if I can add a rear facing camber to it.

 

Search LuckyCam on app store. download it, it will work the same, connect to camera wifi. make sure you disable cellular data else the app wont work.

 

When you installed the front camera, was there two wire options to pick from to connect to the truck?

If there was, then yes you can install a rear facing camera. The wire you left un-used is for the rear facing camera

I have the FitcamX with the 360 rear camera.
It was an easy install for the front camera, I had reservations about mounting the rear camera on the glass of the middle sliding glass because it required having the wire loosely hanging down so the window would open.
I had to search for a solution to mount it, I tried low behind the seat, but did not like the angle of the video, so I looked some more and found what someone else had done, he stole the belt clip off a tape measure, put it on the headliner and double sided taped the camera to it. That work and keeps the wire hidden.
Too bad the manufacture doesn't provide a solution. The only other issue with the install was the app that sows in the instructions, does not work. I had to google it to find the one that works, but I did get an email after I registered the product giving me a heads-up that the app didn't work and what to search for.
It takes good video, and I like the fact that it is not in the way on the windshield.

 

can you just mount it on the side on the non-moving window? that looks like it's going to fall off the headliner and leave gluey residue.

 

I used a belt clip off a tape measure clipped to the head liner, then 3M double sided tape to the clip. I have never had that tape come off of what it was holding.
