These are the same thing :boink::boink::boink::boink:

I want to get a carbon steel pan. But I hate teflon/enameled pans. Give me metal!

I recommend an instant pot. it does all that. Slow cooker, rice cooker, and pressure cooker. I use mine for yogurt too.

(credit where it's due, I have no idea if Instant Pot is a good brand or just the popular one, but it's the one I have)

The lid of the dutch oven is a skillet. Combo.

I think it's Alton Brown who goes on about single use kitchen implements like me.

To each their own! Alton has a brilliant way of cutting up a turkey/chicken but it doesn't mean his word is gospel.

Nah, I was just throwing him out as someone I agree with for kitchen utensils. Single-use stuff, I do not like.

I agree on a variety of single use kitchen items, but I did just get a rice cooker and it is incredible.

I have one but use the instant pot now instead. Does it just as good and everything goes straight into the dishwasher and it's easier (with my rice cooker at least) to clean.

My wife initially said no but I may look for a second smaller instant pot that's more manageable and doesn't take up as much space when I'm doing stuff on the smaller scale. I use mine to the full size maybe half the time at most. Probably less often than that.

Ninja Foodi  Does a better job than the full size convection oven, with less power, and transitions right into a rice/quinoa/pressure cooker. Does a few more things than the Instant Pot, but same concept. Replaced several other space taking contraptions gathered over the years.

I know the fancy food you make but if you ever want to make simple tater tots.. you can put them in the oven for 45 minutes.. or the air fryer for 12 minutes and have a much better end result! Haha!

What is "choke cherry" ? Edit -- I looked it up -- may be ok --Buuuut I would stick with regular cherry wood
We have cherry trees around here
My opinion here - Traeger --you are paying extra for the name. Look into Camp Chef, Pit Boss, Green Mountain, Oklahoma Joes, and Req-teq. All of these get good ratings. Month ago , I went with Green Mountain (Prime plus model) it was/is 100 off. I chose it on the reviews and its solid inside construction.
Check out the reviews from here as a starter then see if you can see them in person
AmazingRibs.com, The Authoritative Source For BBQ And Grilling
This website does a great job with all things bar-b-q ing and smoking, and their reviews are fair and thorough
Whatever you get -if you can- get the blanket for the model you choose -experts say this can cut your pellet use by 40-50% -
I have no earlier comparison on the pellet consumption, but my green mountain is stingy with the pellet use and holds the temp within 1-2 degrees -even when the temp is in the lower 30's.
I would bet in the future, the manufacturers will make these things hold the heat better, but then again, the price will probably go up with more materials being used in the build.

X2 on a blanket. Even a cheap Harbor Freight welding blanket makes a difference. Especially on a windy day.
