That's BS! I have progressive and my rate actually went down when I removed my 2006 Tundra and added the 2023 Tacoma. I think that was mainly due to all of the safety features the new Tacoma has.

That is exactly why I stay with State Farm is low deductibles and I could not get a new policy that even offers that. They paid out 30 grand on damage to my house a few years ago and so I think if I switched would be hard. I'm no expert and could be wrong.

    Oh look, another mod....
I can't afford insurance (Auto, Life, Medical or Home!). I need every dime I earn to go towards upgrades & accessories for my Tacoma.

One can never have too many light bars.
I have Geico in CA and I just renewed. My premiums have been consistent for 5 years and are the same for the next 6 months. Clean record and pretty high coverage. It's weird cause whenever I shop around nobody can come close to matching.

Florida has experienced and will continue to experience "extreme" weather events, flooded and damaged vehicles. Premiums will continue to go up.

I'm with geico also, but i bundle my other car, house, snowmobile, and boat along with my truck with them. My 6 month payment for the truck was about $18 more.

So true. Florida might be the insurance fraud capital of the world. If you think car insurance is bad, you should see my home owner’s insurance renewal quote.

I have American National for home and auto. Small increase this year, but still competitive with others.

Was there any one particular thing that stood out in the fine print which didn't settle with you very well?

SoCal here. I just paid my 6 month premium with Progressive. I have a 2016 Tacoma and a 2016 RAV4. $1300 premium. But it’s because somehow they found out I drive over 25,000 miles per year. Hell they should be rewarding me for all the time I spend on the road not getting in accidents!

Come out to Colorado and you’ll be happy your insurance is that cheap. Rates in this state are ridiculous.
