Steering column rattle. Not the common clunk

I have a very annoying rattle that has started and continually gotten worse in the shaft behind the steering wheel. The shaft runs up into the dash and it’s rattling against the tube it runs through. I’ve messed with the clunk in the rag joint and the zip tie mod stuff but this doesn’t seem related to that. It’s super annoying and has gotten worse since first noticed. I use to barely hear it occasionally, first noticed it a few months back, now it’s constant. You can hit your fist on the wheel and hear it rattling or grab the wheel and vibrate it and it makes quite a racket. I’m not sure how to go about addressing it. I can’t even figure out how to remove the trim from the steering column. I’ve removed the two Phillips screws right behind the wheel but they seemed to do nothing. I’m pushing pulling and prying and nothing will move. I’m at a loss here. Here’s a video link. https://youtube.com/shorts/EfQubmc5ZuY?feature=share

Sounds like a clunk to me.

It’s not the common problem at the intermediate joint.

I think I’ve fixed it.. when I originally messed with the “clunk” a few years ago I remember the round snap ring type thing where the shaft goes up through the column was off, but it was very hard to get back in place, pushing the shaft down enough flexing the rag joint and exposing the groove enough to get the ring in place. Well now the ring was just kinda sitting there with no tension against it and the rag joint seemed to have somewhat of a downward pull on it. So I loosened the joint in the engine bay and slid the intermediate shaft up about a half inch, placing upward tension on the rag joint and back on the snap ring. Feels nice and tight. I’m thinking maybe I didn’t get it in good position when I had to disconnect it during header install. And possibly didn’t get it tightened and it slipped some.
