I noticed the same thing. Should be refined by Gen 5 MT don't worry. Include synthesized rpms in stereo and it will be perfect

i already drive a fake/clutchless manual. don't see what the big deal is.

what i really miss is the clutch engagement.

If they can emulate the feel of a manual transmission (weight transfer / driveline drag at higher "revs") and whatnot, I think I'd get a kick out of it. It certainly would be more entertaining than a CVT.

This is one of those rare areas where having fake sound could actually be semi-entertaining. They'd really need to dial it in, but I could definitely see the appeal in the future.

It isn't a manual unless I can see in my peripheral the uncomfortable lurching of my passengers with every clutch stomp.

Why do they always have to do that?? I constantly tell my passengers "you need to engage your core more, you're not sitting sturdy enough."

Especially true for 3rd gen passengers! Most temperamental clutch I've used. KDMax tune smoothed it out a bit.

4dr long bed. only transmission option is the auto with a manual mode. it stays in manual mode.

one day i'm gonna dig into what it would take to swap a manual trans in. it bothers me that much.

Long bed manual. Would be nice. I've wanted one of those ever since I had my Gen 2 automatic slush box.
If there is a will there is way though.

Totally unrelated MT story- but I've been obsessed with older 911 Turbos forever. Specifically the 996s and there is a huge premium to get those manuals. In any generation actually.
There is now a company that helps take an Audi 2.7 turbo and swap it into a base 996.
