Thanks. I'm working in Gunbarrel so I'm sure I can coordinate.

What do you know about pilkington glass vs oem vs aftermarket?

Novus on hy 287, south of Trilby did my van. It had rust and Safelite refused to repair it. Novus did the repair and installed factory glass.

I don't know anything about the glass options other than if the price difference was small-ish (like $100) I'd go with OEM.

The girlfriends Subaru windshield was replaced in July in Park City and not even 6 months later it already looks sandblasted like my 14 year old 1st gen windshield did - it's not unsafe yet, but I'm very unsatisfied with the quality of that one.

I found that OEM-quality glass doesn't scratch, crack, or pit easily. The two non-OEM windshields I got scratched the first time using the wipers, cracked from small chips quickly.

My 2015 OEM windshield has a few chips in it now near sight lines and I'm considering replacing for a new OEM one.

I have Geico and they sent Safelite. I could have gone found on myself but they came to me. No issues since it was free and can't complain too much

3rd gen glass must suck compared to 2nd gen glass then. My windshield looks like you are heading into light speed in Star Wars.

    Hey folks- Happy Friday!
    Looking for a little direction.
My son's 2003 now has some frame rot (150k miles), both sides, all the way through. I think it is aft of the transmission support. It was never on the list for a replacement frame. I haven't had the chance to see it yet but he is very despondent about the situation. He was getting it ready to sell and took it to some Tacoma specialist in Boulder to get checked out when the rust was discovered. They make these "caps" that can be welded over the frame. So I guess he now needs a welder/fabricator that will take on this task. Any suggestions?
    Thanks! bob

Question for you guys. I'm finishing my basement and I need to create the layout so I can get a permit. Does anyone know of any free or cheap CAD software for 2D drawing? All the ones I'm finding are $150 and up.
