    Seriously, I was born in Florida and have visited several times, as well as living in Minnesota. Between temporary snow and constant humidity I'd take the snow and smile. The Twin Cities are awesome too.

    @pearing Did you find any? Most have been removed due to litigation issues for the USFS. We still have a couple here on the Hiawatha.

    I knew a guy and his wife back in the day that manned a watch tower every summer in northern California. He was in a wheel chair and he fished a lot. The guy would wake his wife up and take his wheelchair down to the creek every morning... from the fire tower... and bring fish back for lunch. The guy was a tough SOB. When he died he gave me his fishing gear.

    Not on this trip-foundation is there but no tower. There are four within a half hour drive of this one. Two can be gotten to with the truck, the other you have to hike some.
