I had rice for the first time in a hot minute last night, had a huge plate of pinakbet. It was unreal.

I think next week my cheat meal is gonna be lechon kawali

I mean the dents are minor, I just have no idea what the fuck to do about this clear fading and all the little dings, I wanna get it to a smooth point I can put a vinyl wrap on the whole truck. Its so funny how nice my 4wd is compared to this.

Clear fading is a death sentence for the paint. It all has to be sanded down, and redone from base coat. The clear failed on my truck, and I redid it myself. I went all the way down to bare metal (where necessary) and did primer, base, clear.

We've talked about this before, Its just I'm too cheap to pay someone, yet too retarded to do it myself. This is the modern mans plight. I wish someone was here who could step by step sit there and teach me lol, thats how I learn things like this unfortunately.

    dis wat i want.

I’m too cheap to pay anybody to do something I can do myself either. So I teach myself.

I taught myself how to weld (debatable), do body work, fiberglass, etc. because I was too cheap to pay someone to do it for me.

You won’t know until you try it. My first paint job looked like shit, now they pay me to do body work on tour buses. You learn along the way.

My philosophy is trial and error. I fuck up all the time. But that’s how you learn, from your mistakes. My coworker is an excellent mechanic. Former BMW and Honda dealer tech, Military heavy diesel tech, and eventually a tour bus tech with me. He’s got decades of experience on me, with the education and ASE certification to boot.

Yet he is absolutely terrified of doing his own home repairs. He has a water leak and he doesn’t want to cut the wall open to find the problem.

Thats me, I'm not stupid, very detail oriented and focused. Just I always doubt myself in execution. Shit I see people spray pretty decent paint jobs in yards, I can rent a booth here.

I've been using some Icon ratchets and sockets for the past two years. No real complaints. Most of my flex heads are gear wrenches.

The local HF store is usually out of any specialty item that I need. Sears closed and Napa has only a small selection.

I never thought about carrying SPAM in an adventure bag. It can be cooked in the can.

Les Schwab has another house AT that is rated better for wet traction than the Open Range one. Hmmmm

Been eyeing the Maxxis Razr ATs but there so little info about towing with them

hahaha it's a chronic condition. It has gotten better, fortunately. I stayed in bed Sunday and took Monday off but I've worked the rest. I still take my vitamins. Drinking gallons of herbal tea, too
