Out of curiosity, what's a meme stock? I'm sure all "meme" CEOs love their stocks being shorted, dark traded, and lambasted as memes by mainstream media owned by hedge funds.

I did read your post. It doesn't matter if it's BRK.A or WMT or MSFT or BA. Nothing you or I get as far as information give us anything of use to trade off of when there's untold trillions of fake shares floating around the market

    Watching the rams v raiders

"Sponsored by Quaker Oats. The official oats of the NFL"

Not only does that make zero sense from a marketing perspective (who the fuck knows what other oats brands there are) there's your answer to how money buys what they want when they want it. Ipso facto, MSM and stock news.

who the shit actually eats oats? I mean, I did, when my mom made them when I was in grade school 30 years ago with butter and brown sugar on toast

Horses eat oats. I eat horses. Circle of life.

Not too much longer and my unsecured line of credit will be a better value than taking out a mortgage or a car loan

In late 2008, fairly early in the downturn, I was sitting in a mall food court with my wife, drinking an overpriced coffee and watching people. It occurred to me that there were quite a few groups of women, of apparent lower socio-economic status, with piles of pink and white striped bags. I asked my wife what they were. She said, "Oh, Victoria's Secret, I think." I wondered why, during an economic crisis, people with what I assumed to be limited funds would splurge on expensive lingerie with so much uncertainty in the air. My wife said, "Well, maybe they just wanted something to feel better about themselves while the world falls apart." The next morning I started researching L Brands. Shortly after that, I started trading it on swings as it was oscillating pretty reliably for a while. Did quite well with that one, as I recall.

Walmart is making noises in the news that they're going to start shutting down stores. One article claimed it was due to shoplifting/theft. A different one cited macroeconomic conditions. We have a Costco in town; opened a year or two ago. Every time I've been in there it's been full of people.

They're talking closing stores due to thefts and profit loss. I think their next earnings will be boo hoo. I'd play puts. (so that means you should play calls)

OK riddle me this Batman… I have had an order open for four days now to sell two calls to close at market. The bid ask on level two is zero. Nobody selling. There are 32 contracts sold today somehow but mine are still available… And the ones that sold today sold for more than the lowest price which is $0.01 vs 0.005.

CVS did the same thing. That's just a cover story to close stores in saturated areas or stores that aren't as profitable.

Closing because of excess theft is just the media narrative

No I know, but it's also an indicator that they know they're missing upcoming sales and earnings, in my mind. So they're looking to send that narrative first, and then when they miss - they have something to point to.

    Walmart puts

ummm for someone looking to play walmart earnings...you might want to read up on the retail theft loss #s....it's not a fabrication of the media. It's become a critical component of the earnings ledger...

They put a one-gate in ours so you can't just walk out. Meanwhile, they removed half of the checkouts and put in self-checkouts.

Self checkouts are great. Never bought so many bulk bananas before! Didn't even know golf balls and microwaves were bulk bananas. Truly a wonderous place, walmart
