Been looking into the 74Welds and Accutune's. Does anyone have any recommendations for a high quality set of UCA's?

If you live anywhere with salt or winter I'd stay away from uniball control arms

You're saving me a huge headache, what do you recommend for somewhere with LOTS of salt and Winter. I live in Kansas.

I live where they salt heavily during winter. I run Baja Kits uppers with uniballs. They’ve never given me any trouble at all. I grease them every 3-5 months and lube the uniballs every other week or so. Takes 10 seconds to do. Other than that, they’ve been hassle free and the uniballs actually look fine when I checked them out this past spring. Highly recommend them.

I'm a big fan of JBA. 3 deg caster + the alignment specs you actually want are built in so you don't have to fiddle with adjustment, everything is greaseable, and they have beefy sealed ball joints (I won't recommend uniballs for anyone that uses their taco as a DD). Very nice pieces and great customer service. I'm running their HD's and they're top notch. Definitely worth looking into.

the stock UCAs are recommended unless you are maxing out the preload or want to move the wheel forward to avoid a cab mount chop.

Why wouldn't you recommend uniballs for someone using a taco for a DD?

Maintenance pain in the ass. Noisy. Needs constant attention. Overbuilt for your needs.

All of this. They're strong, but not silent. I can't stand any noises from the suspension when cruising down the road. They're annoying here in the desert, can't imagine how annoying they would be with winter weather. On a purely offroad vehicle, absolutely uniballs and heim all the things. But on a DD, hard pass.

Idk man I literally DD mine everyday, they’re really not that much of a pain in the ass as long as you simply keep them lubed. Which like I said before, consists of me spraying TriFlow on them every couple weeks after I wash the truck and pumping the misalignments with grease like 3 - 4 times a year. Not that big of a deal. Now if you were someone who offroads every weekend then yeah, I’m sure maintenance would increase.

I mean, you wouldn't have to do that if you didn't have uniballs
