Walmart as of yet, doesn't disclose their loss numbers publicly....They are the last holdout. Target took a big stock price hit when they forecast 1/2 Billion of loss to theft this fiscal year...estimates are 6x that for WalMart if they went public with the #s. (estimated at up to 3 BILLION lost to theft a year)

WMT is roughly 6x TGT's market cap, so that checks out

Mountains by me are supposed to get a few feet of snow all at once. I'm rainshadowed so we'll probably just get flurries. If I-80 closes though for any length of time our stores tend to run out of food pretty quick. Has happened before, will happen again

My old theory...teamsters control the weather...when they need O.T. and perishable inventory moved....Hey, we're going to have a storm...

I don't subscribe to that social convention.

When I was a kid, the weather--and, by extension, the weatherman--was something of an "oh, by the way" type of thing on the local news. I mean, our most beloved weatherman used to draw caricatures while delivering the weather. My older sister has one (of her). At some point, weather became this big "holy shit, we have a freaking' melon-flipping CRISIS PEOPLE!!!!!PANIC!!!!!1!!!!One!!!!!11!! It is GOING TO RAIN!!!!" thing. Maybe I'm just getting old and crotchety, but it's...weird.

Every time Seattle is about to get snow, inexplicably, people rush to the stores and clear out........bananas. Of all the things lol. But they've been doing that as long as I've been alive.

You must be from the Midwest, too. As a kid, we looked forward to those drawings!

Did some surprise Massachusetts tax refund bonus shopping. Almost $3k.Some law that citizens for limited taxation got through that says if they turn a profit they give you money back. Since I had a rather large capital gainsy a year last year my check was very nice.

I'd make a joke about the bottle on the right, but I don't want another timeout

Bottle on the left, I absolutely admire the conviction those lads have to keeping that cone on that statue's head.

The story of the cone on the head is featured on the back of the bottle write up.

Probably not far from you, based on the location in your profile. Jim Peyton ring any bells? ;)
