Once upon a time, there was a guy.

he built a lot of houses, and would tell people, hey, you see all those houses, I built those. But nobody ever called him a house builder.

he also built boats. He would tell people, hey, you see all those boats, I built all those boats. But nobody ever called him a boat builder.

he would say, you see all those docks, I built all those docks, but nobody ever called him a dock builder.

    but, fuck one goat….

Alberta, eh? You guys see some serious snow and ice up there... frozen land of hoth. The plan is tour the American Rockies in the winter and the hope is that these will get me through the Eisenhower and a few other snowy/icy parts of the state.

Assuming you are in CO and are talking about the Eisenhower tunnel you'll be fine. But with those tires and the rest of your gear, you're going to be fine visiting all kinds of other less traveled areas. Enjoy the Rockies; I sure do!

Can you drive while the lights are still on? Or does the outlet shut off

    A few.
I would tend to second that. Additionally adding some weight in the bed helps also. The rear end can get a little squirrelly on compacted snow & icy spots.

The outlet drops down to 100w when driving. Depending on how much energy the lights need, this may not be sufficient to run them. Redside Electric via Guild Outfitters makes a bypass that allows you to run the 400w output while in motion. Also has a breakout for an internal outlet. 10/10 would recommend.

That’s something I need to get in the near future. Thankfully, it doesn’t start snowing really bad until the beginning of the year, usually.

I need to work less and play more. So, that’s why I’m building the truck up. I don’t get out to the ski areas often enough but I’m hoping to change that soon.

Hoosier Pass was a skating rink on Thursday, as was Vail Pass and Glenwood Canyon. You never know when it’s going to hit, personally I keep weight in my truck from October through May. I’m in the banana belt on the Western Slope now, but I lived in Leadvegas and Gunni for a long time.

Going to be doing the same to mine shortly. Sold my snugtop last week, waiting on the materials for the bed rails. My GFC topper should be ready in mid January. Can’t wait!

Don't know about Colorado but the ski areas in Alberta have been open since Nov. 3. Lake Louise had World Cup downhills and gs on Dec 3 and 4. Tons of snow here eh . Have fun and be safe in and on the frozen rain.
