I was able to watch it once. I read the book "Killer Show" written about it (excellent read) after seeing the show of the same name on the Reelz channel earlier this year. I had to see it for myself after reading the book and heard Jack's voice saying "oh, that's not good" on the vid. That was enough for me.

Hong Kong is one the wealthiest places in the world, so a Mercedes is an incredibly common sight...

My friend sent me this picture because it had a couple of red HK taxis in it, and inadvertently captured a Subaru Crosstrek; I did not know that these were sold in Hong Kong (a friend of mine went to Slovakia years ago and took a bunch of a cars pictures just for me, which included an orange Crosstrek, but that was LHD and might very well have been a US-spec model that somebody shipped there)!

I dont think I'm going to be doing the amount car show-related travelling in 2023 that I did this year, and I certainly don't think I'll be going to Syracuse. Low mileage accumulation is 12,000-15,000 miles a year. I did 18,000 miles in 2019, like 15K in 2020, 20K in 2021, and just a little bit under 20K this year. If I continue at that rate, I'll reach the exact mileage you're presently at in December 2023 or January 2024. However, I don't do DoorDash anymore and I'm probably not going to be hitting as many car shows in 2023, so I'll probably surpass 180K sometime in the spring or summer of 2024; I thought that I was going to hit 200K by November or December of 2024, but now I think it'll be closer to the August 2025 by the time that happens. I may be driving down to Maryland next year for a weekend with Anna and her family at their vacation home, and there may be a trip to Myrtle Beach at some point, but the trip to Texas in March that I have in Texas will be on an airplane.

It wouldn’t be the first time I had to rescue a buddy from a psychotic female.
(Not throwing down on females, she really had issues. And alcohol didn’t help)
And to beat it all, I was the one that picked her up from jail after they arrested her.

    Long story.
But friends are friends. And we got to have each other’s backs.

Well, if you make the trip up to PA to save Charlie, you must let us all know, because you’ll have plenty of beers waiting for you on the trip :D

I decided to conduct a little experiment with one of my broken Christmas light battery packs. Four D batteries in a plastic casing versus 3,800 pounds of Tacoma...

    It survived!

The first battery pack was just that, as I had accidentally severed the wiring for the light; I have another old set from probably 2017 that was in shitty condition but still operational, and I backed the truck over it to see if it would stay on. The damage to battery casing was already there...

But backing the truck onto the battery pack caused the lights to shut off...

I'm thinking that I simply backed onto the switch rather causing a short, because I actually had to put the switch back into the "ON" position. They still work!

On a side note, this why I prefer to use black duct tape instead of silver duct tape. The silver duct tape obviously looks better on a silver truck than black tape, but it leaves more of a residue than the silver tape for some reason...

This is why I wasn't really on yesterday; I found some old light sets that I forgot about, some as old as 2017 (based on the expiration date of the batteries in them), and some as new as last year...
