Oh sick, that wheel/tire combo I think is what I'm settled on myself.

While I already have the wheels, was going back and forth on the tires.

    That looks nice though!

Thanks. The skinny 33s have been great for off-roading. You should enjoy them.

I somewhat recently bit the bullet and purchased the flush center caps from Method and I like the look of the wheels a lot more now.

how are you liking them? . Looking to switch over and the yokos caught my eye. Would like to hear your opinion on em? Any balancing issues? Are you daily driving the truck? Just curious because I have never put M/T on my truck.

Oh interesting, mine came with flush center caps (which I also prefer).

Also going to find out here real soon if the Accutune A-Arm with stock suspension will fit this 255/80R17 Nitto Ridge Grappler.

I've done a lot of comparing and note taking and I think as long as my alignment is done well, I'll be ok.
At worst, maybe it rubs a tad and I'll just wait till I finish out the suspension I know I'll be good.

Hoping I'm in the clear though as I want to enjoy a bit of snow here soon.

An aftermarket non-adjustable UCA on stock suspension will move the tire closer to the firewall and cause more rubbing. More caster at the UCA reduces clearance. More caster at the LCA increases clearance.

Idk, Accutune says they fit 33's with their UCA and with their examples they aren't limiting up-travel and they aren't running different LCAs.
General page that talks about new alignment specs etc >> https://accutuneoffroad.com/tacoma-4runner-wheel-alignment-part-4/

Guess I'll find out in 2 weeks though and report back how it all goes.

That is all true but that applies to a lifted truck and you are stock. You lose caster when you lift ride height and that is why UCAs are recommend to gain back caster. If you add non-adjustable UCAs to a stock suspension truck, you’re just going to push the tire back further into the firewall causing more rubbing and adding a ton of unneeded caster. You’re better off using SPC UCAs that allow you to adjust camber and caster from the top. Reference the “How to get tire far forward in the fender” section in the article you posted and use that info to set your LCAs as far forward as possible and then use SPC UCA to dial in camber and caster at the top for maximum clearance.

Well, this will certainly keep me up at night as my brains gears won't stop turning lol.

Totally cool with being wrong, but I guess I'll find out how it all fits here in about a week.

For now, I'll spare my thought process till I test fit it all.

The article you referenced is accurate and tell you everything you need to know but it doesn’t apply to stock suspension. Any rubbing you have will be attributed to your aftermarket wheels. To remedy that, you’ll have to chop the cab mount unless you use your stock wheels. 255’s can mount on stock wheels with stock suspension with no rubbing.

*minimal rubbing if you go 255/80, but can be remedied without cab mount chop

Although it is not an apples to apples comparison with my truck to your truck, but my truck only had rubbing on the plastic fenders, wheel well liners, and along the pinch weld, which was an easy fix. Having adjustable UCAs (I have SPC) really helps with rubbing. I have my SPCs set to the -1.75 caster setting which allows me to increase the caster on the LCAs and still stay within the OE alignment specs.

Ok yeah I'm a dumb dumb, Accutunes A-Arms are officially spec-ed to work with a 2.5" lift (a little more or a little less I hear). :bananadead:

I originally assumed I'd be able to use those UCA's to gain more clearance lift or not, and slowly save for coils and the rest of what I want in the long run.

I'm now going to see what happens when you try and fit the below combo on stock suspension. :notsure:

    255/80R17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers + Method 701 17x8.5 | 6x5.5 | 0/4.75"

Based on other peoples experiences, I likely will have some rubbing but hopefully not too bad.
I just need to get by for a while until I can get some different coil-overs and build out the suspension.

Just cut and hammer shit at stock ride height. You’ll have to do it no matter what your ride height is so might as well just get it out of the way.

A quick fix would be to take it to an alignment shop and have them adjust the lower caster adjustments for maximum caster on each side. That will push it forward away from the cab mount if it rubs there. I dont actually think you will have much rub with this setup but the 8.5" wide is what makes it seem iffy. 0 offset on a 255/80r17 would normally not need a ton of work to clear, maybe some plastic trip and shaping combined with the forward caster (only if necesssary).
