@Rod03 Can you please check: 3TYGZ5AN5PT41A305

I was told it was built on 11/18, was supposed to be at port in JAX on 11/28, postponed to 12/5, then again to 12/9. Toyota stated it was on the ship that arrived 12/9, the vehicle was on the manifest. It was not on ship. Toyota excuse stated they did not have enough rail cars and now it supposed to be at JAX port on 12/29. Got to say dont have much faith in it now at all with the Holidays…. Would like to see where you find it and if it was actually built when they stated it was…. Thanks….

How did you get an update from Toyota on whether your truck was on the manifest? Does the dealer have access to get that information?

Its a SE Toyota truck, I dont have access to their tracking system. I was only able to see the spec sheet, looks like it was build back on 10/19. That is all I got.

Rod - Would you please look at this build again ? Dealer rep says production has moved up from original date, nothing else.
Thanks ! My request : New OR Tacoma, VIN : 3TMCZ5AN6PM45C976

Rod - Thanks ! Probably one more request before it heads to port. Does this travel from SW direct to east coast ? Concerned about the RR unions looking to strike.

Good questions. I too am waiting for a SE truck. Have watched the “available date” go from Dec. 5th to as late as Jan. 26th. Date moves once or twice a week. Dealer updates match what I am seeing on the SET inventory search.

Got offered $46,000 toward a solar octane pro I drove this morning. Told them no less than 48,000 and left they will put it out there for 54,000 roughly same thing as new. Tried to say they would sell for fifty. They have 2019 tundra pro on the lot with 40,000 miles on it they are asking 54 for. Hoping the other dealer does better or I will stick with my manual. After seeing solar octane in person it is not as red as pics make it look. Definitely orange and I would rather the lime. The salesman was young guy said if I traded he would buy it lol

Stick to your guns, definitely a lowball offer. The lime really grew on me. Have you reached out to a Carmax or similar dealer to see what they’d offer? I sold a 22 Honda Pilot back in September and I shopped it all over and took the highest offer. The Toyota dealers offer was low and I knew I could get more. Food for thought

Most dealers right now won't sell outright they want a trade. Low trade in according to kbb is 48,000 and high trade is 51,000 mine is like new. I thought 48 was fair there is plenty for them to make especially since they are not coming down on MSRP. The real issue might be the interest rates are 3% higher than when I got mine and this dealer wouldn't let me use my credit union so they make money on the finance too. We'll see what happens on the black one which is pretty bare bones without all the port add ons. It is 2500 cheaper on the MSRP. Might be more in the ball park. This dealer I went to today has tons of cars on the lot. And I think they are going to keep em unless they start making deals.
