Remember when

I remember the Apollo program, the space race, the duck and cover drills (under our desks or in the hallways) and the landing on the moon. We were always playing, what we thought, was catch up with the Soviet Union. I would sit for hours and hours glued to the B/W tube watching the coverage. Hence the Avatar. Not a prettier bird than the LEM. It was a motivator to become an engineer. Got to work with some of the guys that programmed it's guidance and simulation computers. I am thankful for being born at the start of the 60s.

 

We watched all the early space shots in school plus JFK`s funeral.

World series was all day games we watched them as well .

 

Remember when you wished that you couldn’t remember when?

 

Maybe I am seeing this wrong and you mean your only 6 years old without the lifetime of lessons learned.

I see it this way.

I look at it this way remember the lessons from the bad cherish the good memories .

It works for me. To start all over now with a blank slate no thanks.

Never had it that way, only after Thanksgiving using plenty of turkey leftovers and such. It was called "open face turkey sammich"
