It is nice going with the Deutsch connector but it voids the warranty with Baja when you remove the plug

I don’t really see that spelled out in their warranty.

You don’t think they would be able to determine if the installation of the deutsch connector caused the failure of their product?

I should also note that I have some Baja Designs lights that were installed by a dealer that they modified with deutsch connectors too. It would seem these would be covered under warranty as the modification was done on their behalf by a dealer.

I wonder if a fart noise machine could be wired up for the same purpose?:anonymous:

I think Tesla used to have an external speaker that did something similar, but it was recalled.

    A few.
I just answered my own question with the help of the ol’ googler, https://wolo-mfg.com/back-up-alarms/model-ba-197wn-heavy-duty-97-decibel.html

Yep, that’s exactly what it is. I’ve heard these on equipment in the field at work. I always thought it was a compressor blowoff or something like that. :notsure: Pretty neat, and so much nicer than the traditional audible backup alarm.

By “recalled”, I think you mean they did a software update that disabled it unless you are in Park.

I figured the bright red would get annoying so it's easier just to get green letters now before I put it on. I might bring it to work with me and anodize the plate a charcoal black color. We'll see if they let me do that!

You got it! I will try not to wreck them. I figure to squeeze the posts in back and gently pry the front corners with a thin plastic shim.

Looks great man! Adds a solid, finished look to the front. And no more pulling the tin foil plate for oil changes!

The e brake bracket. I hope that doesn’t flex too much on the trail. Reason being the line looks maxed out already.

You can bend them a little to get them out if the way. Just don't go crazy with the bends, and don't bend them back, leave them so the next time you
grease, you don't have to bend them again.
