Looks like that was assembled and flared by the builder? Possibly a bad flare on the conical seat. The builder should replace it. Never had problems with crimped AN fittings and neither with press on ones. Usually it was user error and shop would fix a bad or mis-crimp. Though I could see the trouble it caused and it sucks because it's a hazard. Let us know how it goes.

Aero motive 340 and 2.7. Way overkill but I like the red on the the Aero pumps lol. Also have a DW fuel filter that needs to be plumbed inline. So far so good.

As others have said, it's probably a bad flare, or debris on the sealing surface.

I've used AN fittings, and never had any leak problems.

Ive put a couple fuel line kits on my classic cars and had zero issues. My last car I tried my hand at doing braided lines for my power steering pump and again no issue. I cut the lines and crimped on the fittings. I guess it may depend on using a cheap brand or product your applying them to……

Don't buy cheap an fittings? Tons of knock off trash out there. Stick with the good brands, Earl's, Aeromotive, Parker, Russel, Vibrant.. The things are found everywhere in motorsport because they work. Only thing better is making a permanently fixed hose.

I never did buy cheap and this hose is a custom made piece by who I bought it from. I'm going to try his advice and if it continues to leak then I'll continue to bitch about how I despise these style fittings. Lol.

I just reinstalled the line after putting some loctite on the conical portion of the fitting and letting it sit for over 18 or so hours. I am leak free and good to go for the moment. Now just to clean up the fuel mess that I made while trying to check this thing because I was not able to depressurize the system prior to removal.

He just did some upgrades and pulled 450whp on 7 cylinders! Had a fault with one injector.

We had another TRD s/c tundra in a private thread record a 4.6 second 0-60 run with the draggy!

Last night while sitting at a stoplight, my afr gauge shot down to 8.5 after about 30 seconds of idle, the lowest the gauge will read.
I have stock headers/y pipe and the wide and is right after the oem y-pipe.

It normally hovers around 14.7 while driving under light acceleration.
Will go down as low as maybe 11 or so under wot acceleration under load.

    Thoughts, normal?

Possibly sensor going intermittent or beginning to fail? Does the gauge read the lowest value when the sensor is disconnected or some sort of no sensor status?

I work with industrial sensors and often the indicating devices will go to a (sometimes configurable) low or high value when the sensor fails.

I hope not, lol, it's been in the truck for only a week or two!
And yes, when the sensor is disconnected, it reads the lowest when I disconnect the sensor.

It could be a wiring issue too. If something grounded out briefly between gauge and sensor it could have caused that exact scenario. Plugs tight? I sometimes have trouble getting the plugs in on the back of my AFR and oil pressure sensors that are mounted on the cravenspeed mount off the steering column.

Or the sensor. or possibly (not as likely) flakey electronics.

Not at all, had the gauge not been there, I would have never known.

Also to add / clarify, as soon as I touched the pedal the gauge shot back up to normal 14.x and has been fine today.
