For 30 years I listened to news programs on NPR during my commute, I felt that it was important to stay informed and also as a matter of continuing education - considering different opinions broadens the mind.

A couple of years ago driving to work the news was saturated with the "human interest" drama of the day -- pretty much people getting offended and being awful to one another for no good reason.

Suddenly it was like a fuse blew in my head. I thought "with over $700 in the stereo in this clunker (my daily van), why in the hell am I listening to this?"

I grabbed the first CD in my box, a western swing band called Asleep at the Wheel, I haven't listened to the news since.
I don't know what is going on and feel much better for it...

The irony of the band I randomly chose dawned on me later - when one is "asleep at the wheel" he is literally not paying attention to what is going on.

Yep, that's me - and now with lower blood pressure. :lalala:

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
I am not sure I would need to see that Headache Rack in person.

Though I venture for the list price I would go Dork because I could build a better one .

Probably hasn't been used since the digital switchover and cable went through the township. Although only houses on my main road get cable.

It's gonna come down in the Spring hopefully. I'm tired of looking at it.

Not likely any less expensive over there. Forget rollbacks

No Television since 1999 when every computer was going to quit and nothing would ever work again.

I don't need an antenna that tall when I have the second tallest structure on the planet 40-some miles away pumping out a TV signal. :p

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tallest_buildings_and_structures#Tallest_structures

It always makes me laugh that when they were designing the Burj, someone was looking up what the tallest thing on Earth was so they could beat it only to find it was in, of all places, Blanchard, ND.

    :amen:.
I encountered a more disatered situation with one of my subordinate he had several rehab sessions done to him which was offered by the company, yet, he was never able to rid the addiction. Until one day he didn't show up to work; comes to find out, his apartment got burned down due to the fire started when he was cooking, and he was not able to overcome the situation.

Oh Hell no, I don't do heights at all!

That 16' aluminum extension ladder is just a permanent hanging staple in the shed. I don't actually plan on using it

My roof is a fairly good shape architectural shingle so hopefully I don't have to get up there in a long ass time...
