    …it’s only showing an inch on the stick… okay so I need fluid then. Man I’m kinda dumb lol.

    It's less Tacoma and more mod
    So depending on if the transmission is hot or cold you use the corresponding marks and you want the fluid level to be between the marks of either the hot or the cold.

    It's recommended to check it when it's hot because it's more accurate that's why there's a greater range on the cold side of the stick. Transmission fluid expands a lot with heat
