Tire pressure light won't go away after front drivetrain reassembly

I recently did a reassembly within which I had to remove the front differential to reach the lower oil pan and do my pistons. So I removed the front rotors, tie rods, sway bar, CVs, everything and put it back together after. The truck drives very nicely, however the tire pressure light won't go away even when I put 29 PSI in all the tires including the spare. The tires are P265/65R17, which the manual says 29 PSI.

Is it possible that I messed up some sensor during the drivetrain reassembly that causes this. Driven 150 mi in all scenarios, city, interstate, 4WD, everything, could not drive more smoothly.

E.g. is it possible that one or more of the valve sensors (if that's the system used here) is messed up and will a sophisticated OBD2 tell me which one?

If it flashes first and then stays on there's a sensor fault in one of the tires, if it's just on steady all the time one of the tires is likely low. There is also a sensor in the spare on 07 I believe.
How old are your sensors, they are typically only good for 5-10years before the batteries die and they need to be replaced.

good info, didn't know about flashing which it does do. the sensors are as old as the truck, never been replaced. is replacing something I can do if I am not equipped to do tires myself?

Not really, the tires have to be dismounted to install the sensors. The new sensors also have to be programmed to the truck, any decent tire shop should be able to do them.

I have no idea, I've yet to need one replaced.

They run about $90 each - installed.
That included mount/balance of tire and programming the sensor to the truck.

Needless to say, my light is still on. Been on for 5+ years.

for the same reason (flashing)? so you just occasionally check the pressure manually?

    Mine flashes. It’s the sensors.
Last time I checked, 3 of the 5 were not operating.
I’d venture to say, all 5 are no longer working now.

Mine hasn’t had sensors for a loooong time due to frequent airing down/up and aftermarket wheel/tire combos. I finally turned my light off a few years back by grounding the indicator circuit. There’s probably how to’s on here if you Google. I was also too OCD to just put a strip of electrical tape over it.

this really should be done like every (other) time you replace the tires. I replaced them at like 130K and they didn't ask me (but did try to sell me a bunch of fixes I didn't need) and I didn't know about this

Up sale is part of the job. You can’t really blame them for it and sometimes it’s a good thing because it can bring things to your attention you may not have been aware of. But how can you recommend something you can’t test and have no idea how long it’s going to continue to function? I have never seen any customer replace a tpm sensor if they are all working.

Not if they try to sell me something I didn't need. When I last replaced my tires, they tried to tell me my lower oil pan was leaking and needed a replacement. That is major work as it requires to take all the front drivetrain off inlcuding the differential. I flatly refused as I was skeptical. They were bullshitting, there was no leak. I confirmed when I actually took it off myself. This was NTB. So if a shop tells me I need something I didn't ask for, I double and triple check because they are not to be trusted.

I do the same with doctors.

As you should. You sound like you have a good knowledge base and skillset so I guess I find it a little strange that anything that happened would surprise you. It’s unfortunate but extremely common and why it’s so important to have that knowledge of your own vehicle.
