It might not be 15 or 20 minutes at least not for me and the truck was lifted, lol. But is worth every penny to just have a peace of mind. Are they thieves proof nope but hopefully they will move on.

Let's hope they make it right once they figure all the kinks out.

They’d better do something, not just for 2WD guys but also for those of us that ordered and are still waiting. Looking back through this thread, there are some that have ordered a couple days later than others yet they’ve already received and installed theirs shields. I’m not sure how they managed to jump the queue? I’ve reached out to them after not getting the email too. Disappointing to say the least. Oh well, nothing I can do but wait, they’ve got my money.

Don’t those couple of days wait only really matter if your cats are stolen?

A company that ships out products to people not in the order they were paid for, especially when there is a limited supply, is actually something I have a problem with. My order on Nov 17th has not shipped yet, but people who bought theirs on the 19th already have theirs installed. Why is that? It’s not the end of the world for me not to have them yet, I’ll live (although my damn cats better not get stolen in the next few days or weeks, or however long it’s going to take to get these things).

But… Doesn’t it bother you when you’re sitting at a restaurant still waiting to order and you see other tables that came in after you already eating? It said on their website that it ships in 3-5 business days when I paid for mine. I know they’re overwhelmed with demand for this new product, but what does that have to do with not shipping items out in the order they were paid for? BTW, I replied to their email within about an hour or less of receiving it, so there was no lag in comms on my end.

I guess I have more patience than you. I can understand if it becomes a week or more why you would be frustrated. This is nothing like the KTJO driver side grab handle fiasco where people that ordered months ahead of others were waiting for their’s to arrive whereas customers that just placed their order were receiving them.

It’s just the principle, that’s all. Just want to know why I (and others) got skipped over while others skipped ahead.

I get you. I ordered on the 14 the of November for local pick up and nothing. I had to message them that I have a 2WD. I was willing to modify it to make it fit but I just messaged them instead. My neighbors cat from a Prius got stolen and we were parked on the same side. Just nerve racking that it can happen at any time. Also given that it’s a new product I’m sure they had a lot more orders than expected and really didn’t expect a big demand for it.

Life is unfair. Period. Getting worked up over something so trivial (and it is trivial and meaningless), is juvenile. I get way more irritated over seeing whining babies piss and moan over their perceived place in line than I ever do about what sequence an order gets filled.

CR has been about as transparent as a company can be, and seem to be doing what they can to make things right. If it were up to me, I’d send you your money back and tell you to never buy from me again. Guess that’s why I’m not in business.

You sound like you’re the one all worked up. I just stated facts. This isn’t very good customer service at this point. Piss off.

Didn't go through the whole thread. any chance of these being shipped to canada? had my cat stolen last week and the tow truck driver backed it right into his truck smashing my taillights and tailgate. This may alleviate me having to deal with this nonsense again.

Also, my “place in line” wasn’t perceived. They’ve had my money for 3 1/2 weeks, you don’t think I have a right to ask why I have clearly been skipped over? If they had been transparent, I wouldn’t need to ask. Their website clearly said it ships in 3-5 business days when I paid for mine, yet they are claiming on this thread multiple times that it said “2 weeks lead time”. That’s not transparent, and it’s not even true (not to mention it’s been well past that time frame now anyway)! That lead time may be posted on their site now (although I seriously doubt 2 weeks is realistic for new orders either), but it was not when I paid for mine. They also said right here on this thread that if you reply “4wd” to their email, then yours will be shipped out right away. I replied, they’ve had several days to ship it since then, but have failed again. I’d have to guess it’s because they are out of inventory now. But if they were transparent as you claim, I wouldn’t be having to wonder what happened to my order, when I will actually get it, or why people cut the line. So KY_Rob, I don’t know what love affair you have going on with Cali Raised to the point you are defending them for dropping the ball, but your uninformed opinion has nothing to do with my transaction.

@KY_Rob, did you get your tracking number yet, or have you already received your order?

    1) No email from Cali Raised about 4WD
    2) Order placed on 11/19 AND credit card was charged
    3) No further contact from Cali Raised after e mailing customer service about where my order is.
    4) I wouldn't say Cali Raised has been transparent, there are people that they dropped the ball on about the 4 WD vs 2 WD question. We didn't get an e mail notification--lost in cyber space. Cali Raised is selling a product that is in high demand at a very good price. Cali Raised sold out of shipment #1, probably sold out of shipment #2. Now I wait for shipment #3 with brian2sum.

It's not my job to defend or fanboy the company, but have you tried calling and asking them?

Speculating (specucomplaining?) on a forum is annoying and useless. Im guessing that's KY's take, and it's certainly mine.

For perspective, this is the world of Tacoma fabrication. A two week lead is peanuts compared to past companies that had people waiting months, sometimes years after putting hard money down. And some companies, when they got feedback of their product not working on a certain trim, their response was "tough, no take-backsies." So already, a company that's willing to adapt and accommodate and still try to target a reasonable turnaround time is a fresh and welcome concept.

It's the holidays, pardner. Relax, breathe, enjoy yours, and try to be understanding of others.

Again, it's not the lead time that bothers me, or that I don't have them yet. It's the bad customer service by not sending them out in the order they were paid for. They can't read dates on invoices? I asked them on here and they just deflected me to email them "with any questions or concerns".
