That was my other thought. Manual being less of a failure point. And I wouldn’t be throwing money at a remote shutoff.

Upgrading the size of wire going to the bed batteries soon and figured I’d make the decision ahead of time. Currently have a Blue Sea manual switch in the cab.

I put a blue sea switch in. Don’t have a picture of it all wired up. Ran 2/0 awg wire for both positive and negative to the trucks main system. 2 awg ad a parallel leg that just powers the switch pros. It’s fused, just didn’t have another breaker to keep them both on a switched power. Planned to go dual battery with a controller to manage them. Battery is tied down with battery tray bolted through the floor.

I'm installing two of the blue sea ones right now that has the manual switch on the body and a remote switch, so my vote is for both. Don't think it needs to be in the cab unless that's where your batteries are. Mine are now under the cab at the rear of the vehicle (FJ)

This is probably dumb but what are those white things that look like super grommets? That’s the only piece I am missing for the cables to go through the bed. Was going to use standard ones if I can find them in that size.

They are blue sea cable clams. Kind of bulky and overkill. https://www.bluesea.com/products/category/23/Cable_Clams

Thanks for the links. At first I thought it was some super protective grommet (which it is) but they seem more like waterproof solutions. Since yours was in the cab that makes sense. Mine is in the bed. So yeah probably overkill for my setup.

Actually same thing I’m using for the smaller gauge wire. Not from McMaster but I had some on hand from work.

I could really benefit from a rear sway bar, but it’s pretty flexy.

After doing some reading I think I’m going to go with this sort of thing. I don’t need the waterproofing but I don’t think a traditional grommet will work on the bed. These look like they’ll handle a lot thicker material.

Man that was an expensive way to go from 14.5” to 16 3/8” of travel in the front….10/10 don’t recommend….lmao… probably should have just put bypasses in first but I got a decent deal on some 10” coil overs so down the hole I went…

It's been fun watching your build, I didn't realize I follow you on instagram until I saw the engine cage taking shape. I can imagine all that infrastructure work will do ya better in the long run if you ignore the dollar signs lol.

Hey thanks! Yeah it’s been an endless money pit….I need to just stop working on it than I won’t spend a shitload of money….I keep changing things after every time I take it out…. But I’m getting close to being done with suspension though so that’s good. Now I just wanna rewire the whole truck with haltech and ecumasters stuff than supercharge than I’m done…..for now…lol

Waiting for them to release more photos so all I got is a cropped screenshot so far. But this is awesome.

Thinking of getting those as my next tire.

You answered my most important question: “do they cause levitation” yes they do.

Haha I had a set of the originals and loved them in every terrain I threw them in.
These are the new ones. They said they’d help me out if they could shoot me jumping the truck in JV. And that’s the money shot haha. Not a ton of changes, little bit of siping and supposedly some compound and sidewalk structure changes. They did 100 miles of abuse so far without skipping a beat

Yeah that’s what I read as well for the changes.

It’s definitely a good shot so they got their moneys worth. Haha

I only wish they made taller skinny tires. Mine are 13.50’s and would love to slice an inch off of them.

What size do you have? Mine are 37x12.5x17. Pretty sure across most manufacturers if you go taller than a 37” then they are 13.5 wide

I got the 38’s. I blame it on too much beer and too much time on jeep forums (seems they run milestars more than anyone else) when I ordered them.

Will probably go back to 37’s once they wear out. Unless I can find some 12.50’s in that size.
