What known problems are there for the V6 in new Tacoma’s 2023

Is there any plastic water lines? Do the timing chain cover still leak oil? Recall on welds made in Mexico? What else do we know that are problems?

 

Same issues as every other 3rd gen.

I’ve read that they just used whatever parts were leftover from 2022 that weren’t good enough for 2022s, think factory seconds that are borderline defective but passable.

Just trying to get rid of them before the new generation change in 2024.

Not sure where welds are on a v6, but also didn't realize Mexican robots were different that US robots. Thanks for the update.

I’d urge you to seek firsthand information, not internet hyperbole. There was nearly 1.5 million 3rd gens made and sold, with very few problems.
or you can do what TW 3rd gen does,,,, and scratch for an itch.

I had a 2001, sold it when I signed papers on 2023 Tacoma. Trying to find out if it is true that there are some known issues. Been trying to find accurate information. Found a few things that they might have but not confirmed.
Please spare me the BS answers , just the facts ma’am just the facts.

The biggest known and least documented problem is the part that mounts between the steering wheel and the seat.
