I make fun of people solely on the vehicle they chose because I've "bettered" myself.

    Blast and cruise, baby!

I don't actually b&c but blood work is highly recommended if you're supplementing heavily.

I’m enough of a man that I don’t need supplements to be this good.

Sounds like you’re confusing supplements and gear. Vitamins are supplements. Take your vitamins

If you're taking supplements that you already have high amounts of naturally, you'd be surprised of the possible side effects. On top of that some people have genetics that are sub-par. No joking, you should really educate yourself on nutrition and health and get checked out. I've taken several nutritionist courses as well as a CPT through NASM. There are always adjustments to make to your diet. Most people just get married, have kids, and get content being miserable with the constant cycle of their everyday life to where they don't care how they look or feel anymore and its sad, honestly. I've helped several middle-aged guys make changes to their physical lives and just explode socially. But this is getting into the rant I was talking about not going on. I'm done responding though. I just want everyone to look in the mirror and smile. And have other people smile AT them. I hope you can truly do the same.

One big difference is a Rivian costs twice as much as a Tacoma based on MSRP.

Next comparison suggestion - Tacoma vs something costing half as much, maybe a Ford Maverick.

They definitely aren’t perfect. I’m also at 2000 miles so I’ll add my experience with the same complaints noted.

Tonneau cover - nothing so far. It does make some weird noises so far but I use it a couple times a week and it’s been fine. I don’t fully trust it remain that way though based off experiences others have had. Mine was included with the Launch Edition, I would be more inclined to be upset if I had paid $3k extra for it. Hopefully they figure out a permanent fix that functions smoothly and retrofits easily.

Navigation - I haven’t used mine more than a handful of times but so far I don’t have the jumping locations, constant recalculation or misplaced destinations. Haven’t used it much though so it’s entirely possible I haven’t seen it. Rivian really needs to just go with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and let those companies handle the navigation and media interfaces.

Fit and finish - panel alignment in mine seems good. Have never tried opening the gear tunnels from the inside but have hit my leg on the unnecessarily pointed corner. No unusual rattle noises but I’m pretty sure my drivers side window is creating more wind noise than it did when I bought it.

Recalls - everybody has them, doesn’t concern me.

Windshield rock chips - happens to everybody eventually and isn’t manufacturer specific. The potential for the big panoramic roof to crack is a concern but it doesn’t seem to be a common occurrence.

Phone as a key - 85% great, 15% annoying. If I’m walking up to the truck for the first time in a while or walking away it works nearly 100% correctly. If I’m in and around the truck frequently it starts to get confused. Sometimes it won’t unlock until I stand next to the door for a couple seconds, sometimes it locks when I’m a couple feet away getting something out of the bed. Inconsistent at times but generally good.

Music - I’ve never used Bluetooth for music but the Spotify app has been working fine. Again, they really should just integrate Apple and Google and call it a day.

Center console - why the weird two door split design? It just means both the driver and passenger have something in the way of getting in there. One large door opening to the rear is a way better design. The buttons are picky but now that I know where they like to be touched it’s easy to open. A simple finger latch and rear opening door would’ve been my preference on the design team.

Driver door unlock - I can’t say I’ve noticed anything different from most cars I’ve owned. You either wait for it to unlock or you pull the handle twice to unlock and then release the door latch.

Wireless charger - total crap. Impossible to line up properly, surface is slippery so the phone won’t stay in place once you found the spot, charges super slow, gets the phone hot, just sucks. Of all my vehicles only an Audi had a functional charger because it was sized for a phone, recessed in a cubby and super sticky rubber surface. This one blows and I don’t even try to use it.

Charging - no major issues yet but I haven’t road-tripped which is when it seems to become problematic. I rarely charge at a public fast charger in general. Definitely needs improvement from what I can tell.

I’m at 1.75mi/kw. Caveat to that is I tow weekly which drops to around 1.1mi/kw and have powered my trailer a few times off the Rivian battery on days with no sun when I didn’t want to run the generator.

I haven’t tracked vampire drain in detail but I’d say I lose around 2-5 miles on cold nights.
