For you dual-sport guys, or anyone I suppose. Tusk Excursion, Giant Loop Cotoye, or go big with Mosko Moto 40L? I want tank bag(already have Tusk), rackless system, and possibly a fender bag(already have Tusk and Mosko Moto doesn't offer one). I want all of the same brand :D I'm leaning more towards the GL b/c of all the different little bags they have and it's US made(with the exception of some straps imported from Canada). They aren't too far off from the price of Tusk and I honestly don't know if the Mosko Moto is worth the extra cost for my uses.

    None... yet.
Was hoping to get out today (50 and mostly cloudy) as the wife and I started working on her Prius. She enjoys driving a little too close to folks and paid for it with a nice sized rock through her driver's side parking light. Took longer than I thought it would (of course!) but we got it done! It was about 3pm, so with the clouds, looked like late evening... which I guess it was.

Decided wth, I'm gonna get out for a little while at least, so I geared up, loaded up my 9mm and a few different handloads I've worked up, and headed up to the range. I took the most direct route which puts me on a 4 lane highway that is fun when there isn't much traffic as it has a lot of sweeping turns. Little to no traffic so my internal speed limit was... brisk! I made the turn onto the back road that leads to the range and then, within a mile, turned onto the gravel drive with no cars visible behind me. About 10 seconds later, I hear what sounds like a car alarm chirp coming from the bike and wonder "Why is the bike making that noise?" I hear it again and only then notice I'm being tailed by a state trooper. Oh, sh!t. I pull off the gravel just a bit and raise my visor. Before I can say anything, he pulls beside me and says "Hey! You were going a bit fast coming down the hill back there! I couldn't get you on radar but I'm guessing you were going well over 80. No ticket, but please slow down!" Wow. I said "Absolutely! And thank you very much!" Whew!

I did a lot of the same looking this summer. I ended up with the Mosko Moto Nomax for a tank bag and Adventure Spec Magadan panniers. They mount a bit differently than most soft panniers and are basically a rectangular bag with molle webbing all over that you can add/remove pouches onto as needed. They have two straps between them that you throw over your back seat, then wrap a strap around the bag and whatever you have a for a rack to secure. For me they've been secure enough for long trips, but I wouldn't worry about them getting stuck on a tree and throwing me overboard, they'd breakaway in that scenario. Butttt since you want a rackless system this has probably been a pointless explanation

The nomax is a nice bag, but it has SO many pockets. Normally I wouldn't think that was a bad thing, but I keep like six things in there on most days, they could all have their own pocket for fucks sake. I kind of wish I had just gone with something where it had one main hole like the giant loop one. I do like the built-in bladder on the mosko moto though, that is really handy for road trips or off road days.

I wouldn't hesitate to go with either the GL or the Mosko Moto, I'd lean towards MM though.

No personal experience with any of these as I don't have a dual sport ....yet. Only thing I could offer is that I spend a decent amount of time on ADVrider forum and the guys from Mosko Moto are on there as members and offer a discount to forum members. There was a recent thread where 3 guys on the Honda CT125s toured the lower 48 states and the Mosko guys put them up for a night at their shop and left them have some nice new prototype stuff to try out. I know it's cheap advertising but sounded like the owners were pretty decent folks who really stand behind their gear.

I'd never really given them a whole lot of thought beyond that it would make an acceptable commuter bike for me until I followed that story on ADVRider. Two of the guys were already round the world travelers and the third was a 20 something kid with a pilot's license and the available time to tag along with them. Looked like one heck of an adventure and a whole lot of fun. Enough to make me start checking prices.....

I've wanted a ct125 for awhile, maybe one day I'll get one just for exploring the 2 tracks up north. Those things are about bullet proof! They last forever and are super cheap to maintain. They just have a stupid grin factor to them.
But I'm still waiting to see what 2023 is going to bring to this country for bikes. I'm wanting a road oriented bike, think comfy tourer ish. Will Honda bring the NT1100 here? That would be my first choice. If not and I go cheaper it's the kymco ak550 scooter. And if I spend a little more I'm kinda liking a triumph bonaville 1200. I can kit it out to do what I want, add a screen and bags, maybe a top box, and some heated grips. Dunno, still a lot of time and waiting to see what 2023 is gonna bring. Only thing I do know is it's new bike time!

Link to that thread? I'm on ADV under the same SN
I watched the Ed Merch channel on YT where he took a CT90 all over the place. His new series is one of the little gas powered Jeeps going 1000 miles back to Moab if I'm not mistaken.

I'll second this. They let people camp there all summer, hold a public rally once a year, will randomly close for a day so the entire company can go on a group ride, and are generally just good people. They're right on the WA/OR border, pretty close to where the WABDR is and upcoming ORBDR will be.

Anyone have anything negative to say about the baja no pinch tool? Thinking of picking one up, I've had a set of tires for the F800GS sitting for a couple months and am dreading spooning them on, thinking it might make life easier.

Got my RevIt Cassini gloves today. Def order a size up, but these things are sweet AF!

Touchscreen tips work flawlessly, and these things are toasty, but not super bulky. Reminds me of my ski gloves!
