Found a screw of sorts in my front left tire about a week ago, I installed the spare and dropped the wheel with screw in it at a Firestone down the street. They repaired it and I picked up the wheel on the way home from work and put back on myself. Went for a drive the next day, wobbling and noise above 65mph, went back, rebalanced same wheel. Quoting the next technician, "whoever balanced this before should be yelled at." Not very reassuring. They re-balanced the wheel and I again went out to test. Still wobbling. I said ok, I'm dropping the truck off tomorrow and you can guys figure out what is going on.

Today was my appointment, they noted the TPMS had fallen inside and gave false readings of balance. They were officially "able" to balance the wheel properly. They also noted that there was "cupping" on my tires, and rotated the tires for me. I recently had the tires rotated at the Toyota dealer under my service agreement, but now the problematic wheel is no longer in the front left, but in the rear left. I almost feel like it was moved back there to disregard the issue.

Any comments or suggestions? I feel I need a second opinion here since the wheel is now moved to the back. With limited knowledge on the matter, but is that proper rotation of the tires? Front left to back left? Any help, as always, much appreciated.

Swap that tire back to the front and see if it's fixed. Pictures of the cupped tires.

That was my thought. I found it weird the tire was moved to the back.

I cross rotate, backs to front, cross front to fear. Some just do front to back. Did they replace sensor? Also plug or patch? I prefer patch over plugs, my preference. Guess you know now, don't go to Firestone‍♂️

They did replace the sensor free of charge. It doesn't specify plug or patch in the invoice. Regardless, when moving the problem wheel to the front it should ride smoothly still correct?
