Checked back in a bit ago (about 2:30 CDT), only got three entrants, one dice throw later and @StandardTaco got the nod.

Thanks to the players, and thanks to @Firn for letting this pay forward.

    Enjoy :)

Looks like the bottom part of the cap. Also that fluid is starting to get dark. If it's been over 2 years since you've drained and refilled it, get to it.

New to this mod. But just curious why the modifying of the factory accumulator instead of just replacing with the straight line?

Second question, where does everyones clutch engage after either mod? This is hands down the biggest difference for any mod I've done so far including the ott tune. The second the clutch pedal comes off the floor it engages. It's so consistent and it's awesome. I didn't have flaring tools so I just bought the line from this guy through a video I found on YouTube.

For the exact reason that you bought a pre-fab line. Dremeling the accumulator or swapping in @Firn 's disk is a homegamer solution.

The engagement point, pedal feel, and such should not change after the ADM. The only difference should be more consistent, predictable engagement and a schoshe more feel.

I just meant it seems modifying the accumulator seems like more work but maybe not. Either way I'm loving the new clutch feel.

Cutting a haphazard trench in the cast aluminum of the accumulator is literally the easiest part of the ADM. Getting the exhaust bracket out and in, dealing with the heat shield, and not screwing up the flair fittings is where all the work is at.

I think I spent more time whipping some sound insulation on the heat shield. Haha!

Yeah, though. The stock setup was just dumb.

the biggest pain for me was the upper line. I didn't remove the driveshaft or the exhaust bracket. Those bolts were harder to get to than the ones I was after. Nothing was hard, just super slow progress using regular wrenches and tiny movements. Totally worth the effort though.

The upper bolts on the exhaust bracket were at least accessible unlike the upper bolt on the heat shield. I did it once without removing the bracket when initially scoping out the mod. Didn't remove the accumulator at that time. I would not recommend working there with the bracket in place for the reason that you noted. The work room with it out is much better. Tools and hands have clearance to work.

    Just a thing.

See that for me wasn't a problem with ratcheting wrenches. But as long as it gets done right? Lol.

    Yup.

I have those and cheated them together for the upper bolts. The main thing is the accumulator and the fragile flare nuts. The more room there, the better.
