Those won't do much if the tabs are bent.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
    Ahhh just bend it back

No I'm welding some diy tabs to reinforce them!
Also look what I got yesterday only 700, 6 hours of a drive and 60 bucks of gas!
Edit* in case you were wondering it's the decked drawer system

Morning guys! New to the group here, and I didn't realize there was a GA specific group! So, just our of curiosity, does anybody have a specific shop they recommend? I have a quote for installing a lift near me, but their labor comes out to $2.08 a minute. Seems a little high hah

I'm the other direction from ATL.

You may find someone willing to help install it. @backcountryj may be able to help you find someone to assist. I know there are folks about an hour NW of ATL that would be willing to help, but that's a bit of a drive.

Greer Auto Services (GAS) is pretty highly recommended as far as commercial shops.

Excellent! I'll have to give them a look. I certainly don't ever mind driving for good work. I was looking at lifts (I had no clue there were so many options), CMC, and a few other things. So far, I'm realizing just how much I don't know haha

Well you came to the right spot! Plenty of good write-ups out there and people willing to help. I know I was gonna throw a thread up soon about doing a mod-day where we could do most things (CMC is not one of them since I don't have a welder) but anything with basic tools is do-able

That would be awesome! I certainly don't mind paying anybody to install a lift or a CMC or whatever work I can eventually afford to do. I just thought $2 a minute was a bit expensive hah. So far, I've loved this forum and everything on it. I fully acknowledge I'm the ignorant new guy but haven't been made to feel dumb yet haha.

Tend to just charge a flat "entrance" fee for any food we cook/bring and then a BYOB type of deal for Mod Days. But obviously whoever does your CMC will be different.

Well I know some people can be rude to new guys (not in this thread), so I'd suggest doing some research before you go asking certain questions in certain general threads. Or just post questions here as you'll actually meet most of the members but won't be meeting the keyboard warriors that complain about typical asked questions. If that makes any sense haha

Sounds like a plan to me! I'm looking forward to meeting some of the members on here. I'm afraid I'll be that guy pulling up in a stock Tacoma for the first one or two though haha. I definitely didn't want to be the new guy showing up asking the same question that's been asked a million times, so I've been all but abusing that search bar.

Don't be afraid to ask questions here. I may not be the one with the answers but these guys are great. I personally don't feel there are any dumb questions as we all have to learn at some point. I'm sure I've asked some at some point but at least I wasn't told that. Welcome and enjoy making your truck yours.

Its just a crappy $200 MIG but I have a welder (that I haven't gotten to try out yet).

That was me last time. I had my truck for like 3 weeks.
