My New Years resolution is going to be to only use self-checkout everywhere I go from 2023 on.

In Missouri they make you look the cashier in the eye as you pay for any size larger than a 5th, but only on Sunday afternoons when the chiefs aren’t playing.

 

You have to buy in liquor stores in MO right? Like they don't sell booze in an aisle at the grocery store if I remember right, or am I thinking of Oregon lol

Shit we have liquor for sale in gas stations, which I always thought was kinda a bad idea. Nice though when you're heading out camping and forgot to buy beer.

 

Over the road truckers can have a little Jim Beam, as a treat

There was one gas station/ restaurant/ resort that had a liquor license, but I think they lost it.
There's a gas station/ bar/ liquor store just over the WY border though

 

There was beer at the gas station in Moab iirc

 

Hawaii gas station game is underrated. There is a spot on Maui, I can go in and fill up, go in the store and buy nice wine, bottle of whiskey and a 16oz slab of prime rib.
