I’ve had many acts of kindness and have also given them as well.
My dad rest his soul was always willing to help others.
He always told me if you try to belittle others to make yourself look better you’re not any better?
I like the fact that everyone in the shop is happy to see me and don’t worry about being belittled if they have questions or need help!
Some people are just assholes and I just avoid them but most are good people who deserve to be acknowledged or who I would help in a heartbeat!
So I just picked a new to me ride here’s a pic I’m liking it a lot.

Hard day today had some R&D stuff had to ask for help doing some programming on it. After about an hr I asked one of the young guns he was really cool about it and thanked me for asking. :anonymous:

Lucky you had all the stuff around! When I was doing my garage I had nothing really so lighting was kind of expensive. I installed 4 LED shop lights at $35 a pop o_O

Not to mention a couple hundred dollars of stuff to get them to work and wire. At the time 12/2 250' roll was $165 and a roll of 14/2 was like $140 if I recall correctly. I recently had to buy another roll of 12/2 and it went down to the low price of $149 o_O

A few years ago I got about 20 four foot LED fixtures at Sam's for $18-20 each and replaced most of the 8 footers out in the big room.

Fortunately I did all my electric infrastructure work before prices went through the roof. I spent some quality time pulling #6 wire through the attic -- in the summer...

Do you have plugs on those circuits as well as the lights?

You could have run 16/2 to feed those lights. LED lights hardly need much more unless you really have a lot of lights on 1 circuit.

"Quality time" and "attic" do not compute!

I couldn't agree more, the last "last time" I was up there it was 122 degrees.

It is a crawl over the trusses attic too.
Fortunately it is stacked with 40 year old fiberglass insulation.:bananadead:

Electricity was part of the old jobs so all in a day's work -- the work that is, not getting zapped.;)

My lighting (and garage door opener) is on its own separate 15 amp circuit. Each wall has its own 20 amp dedicated circuit. I wanted to be able to run the welder and heater at the same time, or compressor and heater, etc, etc. I'll eventually get a 220 receptacle out there, but I only have a 100 amp service. Eventually I'm going to have to move my meter base from the back of the house to the side to add on the 2 car garage behind my current one. Whoops, said to much on that one, I wasn't supposed to say anything about that :anonymous:

Oh crawling in the attic is fun! I have an attic ladder in the main house, but it's too far away from the garage. So, I cut a small opening that I somehow manage to fit my fat ass through there...

Also plenty of room to work up there, I didn't really mind the heat either...

Alright, enough pictures from me, sorry folks! I'll stop now. Just been in a sharing mood this evening

Are there any spaces left in that sub panel? 100a panels can support 240 plugs as long as you have spaces in the box

Heh, the eventual plan is to come off the back of the existing garage for another 2 car. The doors will be facing the neighbors lane. Still have to get easement from the neighbor for that small section of driveway, but that shouldn't be hard. Because the roof structure has to change on the existing house I'll have to pull permits so that means the tax man gets to know everything I'm doing...

I do have some room in the main panel, but currently I have 8 220 breakers installed already.
