    A few years ago (say 40...) I worked at a filling station owned by a small local oil company.

    The Office decided we should be open (for straight time) on Christmas day 12 hours to catch "all the holiday traffic" -- in the little backwater town... :crazy:


    A regular customer, a lady in her 50s, lived just up the street. She noticed the lights on and my car there so she came down to ask "what in the #e!! was I doing there on Christmas?"

    She thought this was the "most awful thing she had ever heard", especially the straight time part, spun on her heel and left.

    About 15 minutes later she drives down with the most incredible Christmas dinner I have ever had. There was probably enough for 3 guys, china plates, silverware, a glass and even a linen napkin. I ate like a king that day. :burp:

    It was a moneymaker for the company too, I had about 5 customers all day... :laugh:
