Getting my workout today blowing the dust off my axe, exercise feels good since ive been laid up for a while. I'm getting ready for the predicted ice storm & possible power outage. When the power goes out up here its usually out for a while. My woodstove will keep me warm & fed.

Depending on the HOA, I think the base housing would be worse… well maybe only if you’re enlisted lol

That's not far from truth - I should think I will find another PCS before too long because of the costs and policies here.

It's not much different as gs13. Housing managers (the contractors) generally show false positivity for us, and lots of passive-aggressive bs. We get "reminders" sent via mass emails if, like, 2 people let their dogs poo somewhere. In fact, I got a nasty-gram for having a wheel barrell visible in my carport. But it's all i had out there. My neighbor has a basketball goal (leaning over), and 50sq feet of boxes and kids stuff, yet my wb was 'blight' and 'must be immediately removed'. I really struggle with my sanity living under arbitrary rules like this.

 

What is a “basketball goal”

 

Do you have a battery backup for the well pump? My woodpile already has a serious dent in it, I hope that the winter doesn't drag out too long like last year. How is Buttercup doing?

 

No battery backup. I have a stock pile of water tho just in case. I need to buy a good generator now that I'm living up here full time. Buttercup is fine, she loves the woodstove lol.
