Over the last 7-8 months I’ve added quite a few things to my 19’ Taco (Listed Below), (I’ve added more than what’s listed, I’m just focusing on performance parts right now). I’m stuck, trying to figure out what the next addition will be. I am either thinking of the Magnuson SC, or the Total Chaos Long Travel suspension (Front & Rear). The suspension is obviously going to cost quite a bit more than the SC but I’m not worried about price (And no I’m not rich, I am obviously worried about the price I just know either way it’s hella expensive so I’m trying not to think about it lol). So what are everyone’s thoughts on this? What would you get next and why?

Side Note: Let’s try to keep the comments helpful and not just two people going back and forth on something irrelevant por favor.

    -Injen Intake
    -RIPP Coil Packs
-Oil Catch Can (Doesn’t help or hurt I don’t think)
    -URD High Pro Radiator
    -URD Power Extractor Pipes
    -URD Spec-U Exhaust
(All 4 Cats deleted with the above pipes)
    -URD Short Throw Shifter
    -Nitro Gears (5.29)
    -Pedal Commander
-Pending the KD Max tune next week

Magnuson TVS1900 Supercharger with 87mm pulley, Catted OVTune dumptubes, Doug Thorley 2.5in y-pipe, custom mufflers, 76mm Tundra throttle body, 5.29 Yukon gears, JamesT custom fuel rails, Yotawerx 87mm tune, Eibach Pro Truck Stage 2 suspension. And some other stuff.
Magnuson SC with 5.29 gears is a great combo. Add that with the 87mm pully and 87mm YotaWerx tune you won't regret it.

Also another cheap and easy mod is the 76mm Tundra V8 throttle body (Though you will need to port out the SC and the TB adapter, not very hard to do).

BTW did the RIPP coils do anything for you? I haven't done that mod because I didn't think it would do anything.

What is your honest opinion on the extractor pipes? I have been thinking of getting them and the URD catless Y-pipe.

If you decide to buy a pair DM me. I have a set that are brand new sitting in a box that I will sell for a good price. I originally purchased them with the intent of installing them but really wanted dump tubes with a cat. After I ordered the URD pipes I found a pair of OV Tune cat'ed dump tubes that were priced just right. So that is what I installed.

If anything you will need to figure out what to do with the O2 sensors. That was my biggest headache. Even with the single cat I had the CEL come on. After I tried a couple things I found putting on a "minature cat" O2 spacer worked. But I don't think that will work on a catless system.

From my experience with the OV Tune dump tubes:

The worst restriction in the whole exhaust is in the stock dump tubes. I wanted 2.5" from the block to the tip so I needed to replace everything. It did make my exhaust a good bit louder. I fixed that by welding in two high flow mufflers. The second muffler is a turndown which is also louder. Luckily with my current setup it has a nice deep tone, though a bit raspy but no drone on the highway. I can't really say if it has more power or not, but I have a dyno session scheduled for next month to test all my new mods since my SC was installed (291 HP at the wheels with 33" tires and 90F outside temperature.)

Thanks for the info I’ll definitely look into that! And I’m not sure how much of an impact the coil packs had by themselves. I had them put on at the same time as all of the exhaust piping, radiator, and intake so I was obviously able to see the results I’m just not sure how much of the power increase came from each individually if that makes sense.

Ya I just don't see how they are getting the gains they claim from just coils.

BUT..... if you do go with the SC I would suggest you also get new spark plugs and re-gap them to 0.030". Per Yota Werx recommendation I did that prior to moving to the 87mm pully and I did notice my engine ran much smoother. Also, in theory, they should run a bit cooler in the summer during high outside temperature.

These are the plugs I bought:

OP, I recommend you stop and think. Don’t buy things that don’t have an obvious tangible value.

Easiest way passed the O2 CEL is with a tune. Flash and tune and not worry about it haha. That’s what I did.

I had the Y-Pipes at first with a MBRP exhaust and I absolutely hated it!! I can’t stress that enough…HATED IT! Then I switched to the Spec-U and it’s a night and day difference I absolutely love the way it sounds now.

I thought my side note explained this fairly well….However, I’ll entertain this. Damn near everything we add to our vehicles don’t really have a tangible value in terms of resale value, unless it’s to a person who also lives Tacomas. If we’re talking tangible value in general, well equipment falls into the tangible value category and parts are equipment so therefore they are tangible in value. Anywho, speaking of value, if you don’t have anything of positive value to add, then kindly move along, please & thank you. This is my kindest way of saying fuck the fuck off. :)

By value I mean something that improves the truck towards your goals. I’m very skeptical your list of mods improved the truck in any noticeable way and I’m uncertain why you are considering a long travel suspension. You said yourself that you didn’t add one mod at a time and measure the difference. I think you are just tossing money away. This is my honest advice for you.

Was it the sound or too loud?

It was waaaaay too loud and the sound was just awful also, it was like the worst rice burner car you’ve ever heard but worse lol. I’m not sure what was bad about the combination of the power extractor pipes, Y pipe, and MBRP exhaust but it just didn’t work at all. Now that I have the power extractor pipe and Spec-U exhaust it’s great. Not too deep not too raspy, not too loud or too low it’s a great tone.

Are you slow? Like mentally developed? You really believe that it’s not possible to see any gains from the list I provided? I’m not saying it’s a drag truck or anything but there is 100% noticeable gains compared to stock. Anyone on this forum (minus yourself) would concur with that. And what does a LT suspension have to do with adding parts consecutively or not? Wait….now I get it…You’re a troll!!!! I’ve heard about people like you lol just never experienced one lol. Let’s keep this going this is fun lol. What’s your next response going to be? Send it!

I agree with you. I think Phillip is changing out Toyota parts for nothing and making it less Toyota reliable. I too dont see the point.

    Especially this stuff:

    -Injen Intake
    -RIPP Coil Packs
-Oil Catch Can (Doesn’t help or hurt I don’t think)
    -URD High Pro Radiator

But it's the Ops money and his toys.

I think you need to learn how to handle constructive criticism without tossing out personal attacks. Good luck with your build and your future tacomaworld exploits.
