1st Gen Lunchtable Thread - General Discussion

Machine shop called. Owner said he’s going to resurface them. Pressure tested and no warping. He nicely worded it but essentially told me he didn’t think the head gaskets had been leaking.

Don’t know what else you call coolant leaking from the head gaskets other than a head gasket leak. But I’m just some guy in his garage, what do I know. They weren’t interested in my photos or videos of the leak so that’s really their issue. The water pump was also puking but the head gasket leaks were visibly unrelated and one was on the opposite side of the motor from where the water pump was leaking. I also cleaned everything off and let the truck idle in my driveway with no actual driving to verify/observe the source.

Overall positive results and I’m glad the owner spoke with me. But I’ll likely never take them something again.

You guys have Shell gas stations? They're always like 20-30 cents more than other stations in town

 

Yeah shell and Chevron are always way more overpriced for absolutely no reason

 

Valero stations have government contracts around here and shoot the prices up. You’ll never see anything but company/government vehicles filling up there. Shell is cheaper than Chevron usually. MurphyUSA Walmart/Sams is cheapest of course.

 

Yeah I don't think I would get anything out of it at my current job. We have entire teams who do data management and build apis so I don't have to haha

A Shell up the road was advertising regular for $2.79 earlier this week.

 

Shell is usually the highest price anywhere around here. Occasionally the odd 76 will beat them out.

91 is circa $4.10 - $4.50 around here, but the Shell in town is still way over $5. It's right off the freeway though so it still stays somewhat busy surprisingly

tis the season for sick toddlers, woke up this morning after she stood right next to me on our bed and sneezed right in my face lol.

Lol probably not . Lately she's obsessed with our cat Harley, he sleeps right on top of my head every night so she comes into our room in the AM after waking up to give him pets. Literally woke up with her 6" from me and a facefull of sneeze
