I didn’t think so. You should be fine with some good winter tires

it has all seasons on it which should be enough for the type of winters we see here. worst case ill just take the truck which should be slightly better. The mud tires arent great in rain and the couple times it was in snow was not any better. The van would be best but the risk of someone wrecking it and then finding a replacement for the price would be impossible so it will not get point duty in the snow.

Yeah there’s not much precipitation but boy does it get cold. The winter compound being a softer rubber withstands the cold a lot better then all seasons. I know when I get another car it’ll have a dedicated summer and a dedicated winter set. On the truck it’s going to be marginal but on a sports car it’s a difference I’ll want.

I've always wanted to do that but I just haven't needed it. Winter tires are incredible. Modern studless winter tires often out perform older studded designs. I haven't looked but I suspect my Mercedes tire size makes winters not a cheap endeavor.

It’s a Mercedes of course it won’t be cheap. I know a lot of guys in stage rally that run winter tires for gravel stages because they are so grippy and much much cheaper then gravel tires. I think they actually out performed all seasons in the gravel.

I got a pair of diode dynamics SS3 fogs and ohhhh they are worth it. Very bright and clear cutoff so not blinding anyone.

Finally got our tree. Was hoping to camp in the snow but the good spots were all burned so no access.

I did, got a @paranoid56 kit to mount them in the arb fog light holes. They fit very nicely and my only complaint is I couldn’t find any instructions on what direction to mount them so lots of head scratching and some thread cruising on here and I found some pictures on how they are supposed to mount up. My wiring was a little short but pop some mounting clips and they reach, I had some other pod lights down there previously so I’ll blame the wiring on those lights. Why didn't you paint them before installing? Can't imagine those won't be rusty in short time.

Haha I think if you just added a photo of them installed from the back side of the bumper it would be sufficient. The one ear has the notch on it so I could orient them correctly.

Highway 16 claims another. We are lucky to be alive. Rolled several times. Thankful the truck did it's job and kept us safe Resized_IMG_1559(1).jpg 20221214_144908.jpg IMG_1560.jpg
