I just swapped the base radio in my 2018 to an Entune 3.0. Most everything works but I cannot get it to let me set the clock. I have tried to turn off the set by gps and daylight savings time but it will not let me set it. Suggestions welcome.

I also noticed that it changed the bar for fuel mileage in my center display from blue to red. Not a big deal but just thought that was odd.

    Oh look, another mod....

Another TW user had the same/similar issue, this was his thread and how he resolved the issue:

I had already read that previous thread. The solutions there did not help

Congrats on the retrofit! Hopefully this clock issue can be worked out!

Since you’ve already read the other thread, not a lot more to say other than triple check your wiring, especially your GPS wiring; I‘ll quote yet another guy from one of the bigger Entune 3 threads where he had similar issues and it resolved after fixing his wiring.

Also check your part num; is it a premium head unit with navigation? Do you have the nav box? Is the nav box also wired up correctly? On those head units (with navigation), the gps signal is passed through the nav box…

Yea this is a known incompatibility; center dash color theme does not match the head unit color theme with the entune 3.0 retrofits. Also the mileage in the eco app is not preserved across drives. Don’t know of anyone that has found good solutions for either of these yet.

Here’s the quotes from the other guy that had clock/wiring issues…

Not at all wanting to hijack your thread, but where did you find this upgrade?

I just wanted CarPlay in my truck and retain a factory look. I was able to find the head unit and dash bezel from two different yards on car-part.com. Most salvage places price the head units over $1000. I found one that was mis-priced at $140 so I jumped quick. Harness from autoharnesshouse.com. They were even able to provide some technical assistance when I hit a stumbling block.

Everything works but the clock. When in CarPlay mode it does pull a clock from the phone.

Bummer… I assume you were able to double check the gps wiring?

I think it should still have a socket for gps/xm radio.

Man, I like this idea. But naturally I have the JBL system so I'd need a new amp. Price just went up even more.

Update. The owner of autoharnesshouse.com stopped by and was able to figure out to go to the radio hidden menu and set the time on the gps. That enabled the ability to set the clock. To get to the secret or hidden menu you have to hold down the audio button and flick on the headlights three time or something like that. All I know is that now it works and I am happy. Highly recommend Autoharnesshouse.com!!!

@sandwichpolice do you mind me asking how long it took for autoharnesshouse to build and ship out your harness? I just purchased a Entune 3.0 head-unit w/o factory navigation and I also order a harness from the same company you did and was curious how long it takes to ship.
    Thanks.

It took a week or so for me to get the harness after I ordered. I can say that right now they may be a little slower due to the holidays.
