My Veepeak OBD2 just arrived. Went out and messed around with it using the OBD Fusion app. Now I get to learn how to add PIDs and what not to be able to check trans temps.

While I over analyze KO2 vs Wildpeak vs Open Country, my 4Runner pro wheels wait patiently. Working a black/matte black theme and went ahead and applied the tvdvinyls letters to the center caps.

Ditto. Perfect description on the 6112/5160's.... Ha! My neighbor came to the rescue as well on same install - needed a "punch" tool to persuade the dang base of preassembled front shocks (set to no no lift! You read that right - Take that TW lift centric ;) ) to line up w/ the hole on the truck's mount (just enough twist, etc to make it a b*tch - punch tool was what the doctor ordered) on bottom of shock.

I ordered a second gen cargo track that is a direct bolt on for the third gen. So I can now secure things to the front wall of the bed as well as the sides.

How do you like it? I’m debating between rack or sliders for the next upgrade.

I absolutely love my Wildpeaks. I’ve ran the KO2s on my old dodge and liked them too. I will tell you they both hold onto gravel that’s comes out once you hit pavement. My buddy has KO2s on his Tacoma and has some hydroplane issues in the rain. After speaking with the local tire shop he did say that the BFG had some complaints along those lines in lighter vehicles. Living in Washington state…I was concerned with hydroplaning… So with all that I chose the AT3. I’m very pleased with them. Good luck on deciding which way to go, it was quite the process for me to decide also. I really like the way the KO2 looks.

I bought the same front bed rail for $27; was going to pay $55 but the parts guy pissed me off by telling me it was for the wrong truck so I went online. If they put on all these $25-$100 bits we think should have been included we'd have to pay a lot more for the truck. And we wouldn't have anything to do. Or anything to complain about.

Tonight I upgraded my interior lights to LEDs. Blew the fuse in the process. Is it just me, or are the Tacoma fuse boxes really difficult to get into?

Also did the most trivial, cheap thing yet: put little flag valve stem caps on. Why? I have no idea.

@818 now that I have the rack I want sliders more. :spending:I know that that doesn’t help too much but I can use the rack for my low back chairs, canopy and maybe something else to free up bed space when camping and then eventually a roof rack mounted shade :crapstorm:

This looks fantastic. Had a love hate relationship with my 06 regular cab only because I’m tall and like to lean back. Cool truck man, the body lines line up real nice.

Sound deadening the roof. I found the roof rack too noisy. Hoping this helps

Nice! Yea I had mine preassembled at a shop to hopefully save me some time but I only gave an idea of how the top mount was to be positioned-- one side was for sure maybe 1/8 to 3/16" off and I had to guide the base of the shock to thread the bolt through as well. But thankfully did not have to disassemble and reposition the top mount for either of the front shocks
So no lift huh? I bet it rides a bit smoother than mine-- stock tire size as well?
