I'm with you on this and am due to get my ACLB Sport in January, but I am in the midst of looking for a good install guide/thread on the Bilstein 5100/block kit to mimic the TRD-branded version of the same thing. I guess it's a 2"/1" lift or "leveling," and that's about all I want right now. I am new to customizing trucks but have worked on suspensions. This lift appears to be way easier than installing coilovers on an STI, and I would not mind saving the exorbitant cost of having it done at the dealer. As an "Accessory," the TRD lift kit is listing at $1750 right now. The dealer would charge hundreds for the install.

Swapping the front coils is super easy. The only delicate bit is to keep the rotor supported so as to not stress the speed sensors. Otherwise it's just a day of bolting and unbolting stuff.

Messing with the rear leaf pack is even easier.

The oem lift kit keeps the use if your stock front springs, perch and top hat. You will still need to remove everything.

Or. You can buy fox 2.0 suspension which is a true adjustable front coilover and ready to bolt on. The rear shocks can be had with external reservoir or not. I bought my fox 2.0 setup for $1700 shipped to me and I could not be happier.

I come from performance car background and handling and ride quality is important to me.

I also had no real desire to lift the truck. I just wanted a better ride quality than what the oem sport suspension offered. I settled on 1" lift on front.

I couldn’t when I had it. Fit is also a relative term. It will rub. If you change the control arms and ensure you have a relatively mild offset, you will fit 33s on it.
