I have been throwing around the idea of painting my wheels, but i can't decide weather i want to or not. At the moment, i'm stuck 50/50 weather to do it or not.

So, i'm going to let TacomaWorld make the final decision.

I say yes, those wheels black on that truck would look pretty good IMO.

    Spinner center as well?

I am trying to picture them both ways.

It might be too much black with your truck color. May need something to break it up a bit...

I definately would NOT paint them. Just imagine what they will look like after the paint is all scratched up. If anything, powder coat... more scratch resistant. I love the look as they are though... so I would just leave them as is.

I was thinking along the lines of painting the centers including the spokes, and leaving the outer rim the way it is to break up the fact that i'm blacking nearly everything out eventually.

That's what i'm thinking, maybe a little to much black. But i kinda like that too, once i do the BHLM and replace the grill and black out the grill surround. Hmmmmm....I guess that's why i'm here lol

Yeah. That sounds like a good look. Just a little something to give you some contrast...

Don't like the design? I think their pretty cool, i'm not to keen on the 'buy the same as everyone else' thing.

I think black center and spoke area and leave outer ring as is, will look pretty good if you want a change. If you are going to black out the rest of your truck, then leaving the wheels alone should be fine also. Add a little contrast. I personally think there enough black wheeled trucks running the streets these days. But then that is just my opinion. :D

damn, those are some old school ass wheels. Don't think those would look right painted. They just don't fit the bill for being painted black.

If you paint them you can do touch ups unlike with powdercoat, which will still scratch.

My wheels after being rattle canned for about 8 months. I didn't even use primer.
    IMG_0844aforweb_3b35860ca59c11636822189433fc2b0585a0d7dc.jpg

I vote leave them unpainted though.
