2023 TRD Pro in Solar Octane. First brand new vehicle I’ve ever purchased. 4th tacoma. Hands down already my favorite vehicle I’ve ever owned. I regretted selling my 2019 taco for an F-150. Glad to be back.

I picked up an Oct 2022 build of a 2023 TRD Off-Road a couple of weeks ago. Not really noticing any build issues beyond subtle panel alignment stuff. The Interior sounds pretty good so far, but under 200 miles on the clock so time will tell. Had it out on the highway up to maybe 80 or so while the rest is slower around town to and from work. No odd noises that I can tell so far.

    Oh look, another mod....

I didn't like that color when I first saw it, but now every time I see a picture of it in good light, I like it more and more.

Oh, I bought my 2021 TRD OR - VooDoo Blue, brand new. I get SO many smiles-per-gallon, and compliments!

yeah its very difficult to get a picture that makes the color look accurate. Much more orange in person vs. a lot of the pictures make it look much more red. i love it

The first time I saw it, it was overcast/cloudy, so the light made it look pink-ish. Then I saw it again in a dealership and it looked more red. THEN I see it in full sunlight and it's a burnt-orange-ish.

I got this '23 SR5 on November 5th. Nothing modded yet, and the only add-ons were tube steps and floor liners from the factory. Just broke 1500 miles. Third truck, but first mid-sized and first Tacoma. I spent hours reading posts about the common complaints and issues before I got it and can honestly say that they are from owners who are either looking for something to be wrong or do not know that different vehicles idle/drive/sound different. Yeah it has a very unique transmission, and its not the fastest or most efficient truck, but it drives great and feels like it will outlast competitors. I absolutely love this truck and have zero complaints and look forward to many miles with it.

I got mine on Oct 17th. Pic is the day the dealer received it from the factory. Overall, I'm happy with it and hope it will lasts me quite a while. Some of the electronics on it make me nervous, thus I purchased the extended 10yr/100K warranty. The Taco has some big shoes to fill though. The truck it replaced [2006 Tundra DC] was just an awesome truck, and still is for that matter as I sold it to a friend of mine. I was going to wait a couple more years to buy a new Tacoma, but since I really don't want a Turbo 4 or a Hybrid, I figured I'd better pull the trigger now, and I'm glad I did. 2nd Pic is the old Tundy.

I got the same warranty. I know a lot of guys here oppose it, and I do stick by my guns that this truck is built to last, but I don't mod a truck enough to void a warranty like some of them do and putting 1k miles on a truck each month for ten years is bound to produce at least some minor issues, and so its well worth the peace in mind to me.

@Reeon I have never purchased extended warranty on any vehicles in the past, but something just told me to do it with this one. I can usually fix most things myself, but as I'm getting older I have less desire and when something goes wrong with one of those computerized systems it can turn into thousands of $$$ in parts alone, let alone the software tools required just to diagnose it. I agree with you it is worth it for peace of mind.

23 SR5 Trail Edition here. Had it about a month/700 miles. Absolutely love it, no regrets at all. This is my first truck after 35 years driving cars, so it’s definitely different, but not ‘bad’ different. I’ve added a cat shield, tailgate lock, and some steps for my short-legged wife. Got some other minor stuff in mind, but nothing crazy.

TRD Pro 6MT here. Love the manual! Had a Gen 2 LTD then into T4R then into 22 Tundra and now back to a reliable fun truck. New Tundra severely disappointed me with multiple issues. Cheaply made and falling apart after 15000 mostly highway miles.

Wanted to get into a manual TRD pro before the Gen 3 goes away for the gen 4 from the new TNGA-F architecture. Then it will be a few years to iron out the bugs in the new one. :)

    You're gonna like it.
And if Toyota does a major re-design or comes out with some 4Cyl Turbo version in 2024 you will have something of real value.

    I don't like my 2021 SR5 Access Cab... I LOVE it.

    Hi All,

First Taco for me. It's a 2023 TRD Pro with 6MT.

Had a 97 4x4 Jeep Cherokee XJ 4.O 5spd years ago and missed rowing the gears. Replaced the Jeep with a 2010 Subaru Legacy 3.6R AT. Still have the Subie.

It appears you put on a tonneau cover. What kind did you get?

    I put on a Bison.

Love it. Very similar design to the Extang (but half the price) where it sits on the bed rails and quick to remove when needed.

Body lines are perfect looks great drives awesome great size to me to drive everyday to work and run into the hills on days off! I am just getting some miles on it.The way it shifts reminds me of myDurango R/T 5.9 that might change in a bit.

Just purchased a 2023 TRD OR DCSB about a month ago and been really happy with it so far. We got the best color of course. :D

This is our 2nd, 3rd Gen and our 3rd Tacoma. Here's a picture of the new and old together.

Purchased a TRD Sport AC V6 in lunar rock. First new vehicle and coming from a lowered sedan, it’s a nice change. It feels super capable and I’m excited to toe and take it camping. My 2 Ford Maverick orders didn’t make the cut and I’m really glad they didn’t.
